Geneforge 1 Mutagen HD - Get Spray Baton Quest won’t complete

Playing on the IPad port. Received the quest to find the spray baton from Buron in the Buried Cells region, found the baton on the body in the ruins as described. Now there is no option to give Buron the baton.
