I've got Aesfeth Ten-Fingers's crystal eye and have completed quests in the Cinnabar Woods and Castle Andesite. In Pagarren's Stake, I have conversed with the Talking Snake, but I'm not sure what to do next? That alone has not been enough to trigger a response when I go back and talk to Aesfeth…what am I missing?
