Okay, I got it. I don't know what the problem was but revisiting Khoth, Aydin and Erica triggered the brooch quest completed event. Maybe the problem was that I didn't click that particular dialog option when talking to Erica previously. The gamefaqs link you've sent me was very specific about that point. Thanks a lot.

Hello I'm just about to finish the third spiderweb game I own. I sometimes got stuck and until now google never failed me but now I'm simply stumped. So I'm standing at the royal spire with all 5 brooches(Ivory, Malachite, Platinum, Perl and Chalcedony) and I'm told that my journey was in vain. I don't know how to activate the teleporter. Neither Erica nor Aydin told me anything new or updated my quest log. Any ideas?
