Another possibility is that the installation file got corrupted while you were downloading it, easiest way to solve that is simply downloading it again. Of course, if you've downloaded 5 times in a row and it still pops up the same error, the file probably isn't corrupted.

You're pretty much only allowed to use normal letters at the beginning and the end of your user name. You could probably put the slash in the middle.
