  1. Yes, you need to walk down a very long corridor of lava. It's outdoors, near the Lava Isthmus (the same outdoor section as Erika's tower). Note that the code only appears in the message log - there's no pop-up box.
  2. Ah, ok, thanks. Thought there was one in every game. And yeah, I still love the game despite its age.
  3. Just wanted to ask if there's an Easter Egg area in the first Exile game. I mean Exile II has that secret portal code, and Exile III has the thing where you place the pants on the pedestal in the Keep of Rentar-Ihrno, so I thought Exile I might have something similar that I've not been able to find.
  4. Just a quickie - "S. cloud" is indeed Stinking Cloud, just had a monster cast it at me. Also, I don't ever recall someone using Shockwave against me - Indeed, it would be an odd choice, since the high level monster mages often hide behind screens of cannon fodder, and that spell would do massive damage to such a screen.
  5. Thank you so much! I think I can fill in the gaps here: The "slow gp" is almost certainly Slow Group. "M. poison" is definitely Major Poison, I've been on the receiving end of that one all too often... "S cloud" is, I think, Stinking Cloud. I mean, I don't remember using the Awaken spell all that often heh. Also if I recall correctly, a few of the spells are different to the player's (e.g. major blessing doesn't give the monsters poison attacks)
  6. I remember seeing a list of monster spells by level, somewhere a long time ago, but I can't find it now. Does someone still have it by any chance?
  7. Hi everyone, I'm a veteran of the Exlle games, and have finally returned to them after like more than a decade. I've played through all three games with a typical 6-PC party, and am looking for more of a challenge. I managed to beat Exile I with 3 PCs, and it wasn't much harder except at the beginning. Now I'm playing a singleton, and it *is* significantly harder. But then I thought about how to make it even harder, so I had the idea of trying a party with no mages or priests whatsoever (spell-casting items and alchemy are allowed though). Has anyone tried this? Is it even possible, or will the lack of certain spells (Ritual of Sanctity, Dispel Barrier) make the game unwinnable? Also, I imagine dealing with enemy mages will be extremely difficult, especially in Exile III. Any thoughts?
