Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
A few additions: You need a pipe to go with the scissors, potted plant, fishing pole, and vase. Platinum ring Skill Trainers: Exodus (Slightly Expensive and quest) Magery Resistance Magical Efficiency Thalon Ten-Eyes (East of Melanchion's Keep) (Expensive) Mage Spells Priest Spells Arcane Lore Spellcraft Magical Efficiency Sentinel Workshop has +1 Magery (it's hard to find) The last trainer - Dervish Tholmen in Dorikas' Fortress as a loyal Darksider (extrememly cheap): Melee weapons Pole weapons Bows Thrown missles Hardiness Defense Quick Action Quick Strike Parry Blademaster Anatomy Gymnastics Leathal Blow Riposte
Garrulous Glaahk Wyndynights
Just got Avernum 5, been playing awhile, great so far...just curious... Why would I hang onto these items? What could I craft from them? 20x Parchment 9x Sentinel Power Stone 25x Chitrach Claw 1x Scissors 1x Potted Plant 1x Fishing Pole 1x Vase 1x Pipe And, who would craft me wands if I had the right stuff? Second Question: Is there a list of all hidden rooms somewhere? Thanks guys.
Curious Artila avvv
Seems like I can stop collecting those bags of meal. I have 117 of them.

Some people like to collect and store the items so they are available when needed. Quote: And, who would craft me wands if I had the right stuff? Sportz in Ahoronia and the vampire in Melanchion's Keep make wands. Quote: Second Question: Is there a list of all hidden rooms somewhere? Synergy's Item List mentions hidden rooms as secret areas. Solberg's Tower has some near the East Tower, there usually is one in every major town.

LOL, me and you too buddy! I guess this is the first Avernum game where there is no bag of meal quest... All I'm missing from the items is a pipe and a vase, I'll keep an eye out...and maybe I'll hang onto my bags of meal just in case...it's not like they're too heavy for me
Garrulous Glaahk Pyro
its kinda weird that in a land where everyone is struggling for food no one will buy your damn meal
Unflappable Drayk Evnissyen
Yeah, Pyro... that is kind of odd. Why is the meal unsellable, anyway? In the older games we were able to make a modest profit off of them, though they were pretty heavy and therefore we could carry only so many of them... except in Geneforge 4, of course, when we were first introduced to our bottomless backpacks. Burgeoning Battle Gamma Puksis
Well, you can satisfy your need of collecting things with em. I have over 260 rocks in my priest packbag.
Ineffable Wingbolt Erebus the Black
Quote: Well, you can satisfy your need of collecting things with em. I have over 260 rocks in my priest packbag. 260?, my slith warrior decided on a hobby mid game and now is the proud owner of over 700 rocks (not to mention the crystals and metals). I just decided to see if the game had renewing items like in exile and also wanted to see how many rocks were actually embedded into the game (it doesn't, that's obvious enough, but I wanted to see if after a restore and a return to a forsaken place it will happen. Of course by the time I got back to the forsaken place(s) I've already forgot whether I already cleaned it of rocks or not so I don't really have an answer) so I started picking up every rock I could find. I've stopped playing the game due to tests so I don't have my exact current tally. although I did beat dori so I don't know if I really have the will to continue. *meh*, maybe I'll retry it if I'll ever feel like joining the dark side. Oh did you know that in exile you could actually throw them at people?
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
yea throwing rocks was funny but not that effective.
Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
Whatever works, works, I guess. I think it was decided that rocks wouldn't work too well as missile weapons, especially against somebody in plate armor.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
I remember vaguely that there was convo about damage done between rocks and javelins.
