=.= Okay, lol, Well. I remember playing Exile 3 a LOOONNNGGG time ago lol, and after hours of tring to remember the game name so I could once again play one of the best semi-RPG's I've ever seen, I remembered the game name, downloaded it, opened it, to a big dissappointment.

The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

I did that for both Exile 3 and 2... I'm not even going to bother with 1 >_> Had anyone else had this message and somehow fixed it? Plz tell me! And dont tell me to change the settings to try to run it on 95' mode or anything like that, I'm not stupid, I tryed.

Hmm... I run the Exiles under Win95 just fine. Hmmm... this may sound really obvious, but two things, one, are you sure you didn't download the Mac versions by mistake? And two, are you sure you weren't just running something net-based at the same time and the downloads became corrupted?

Other than that, I don't know, the error type sounds driver related, but for the life of me I can't think what could be incompatible.

I assume that this is the message you get? yes? I don't know but I just tried to see if it would work for me and what do you know it doesn't. If you are really serious try running dual operating systems- That might work. On my old W98 computer it works fine but I can see that this would be frustrating. Maybe someone could email you the game entirely installed already after downloading it and installing on their computer. Might work frown

Thats EXACTLY what I've been getting. It Worked perfectly on my w98 also... I think its another one of wXP's many glitches =.= like how you save a file on a floppy (although i dont get why people still do that, thats y they made CD burners) and you cant access the floppy on anyhting BUT wXP. Running it on a duel OS? I know alot about computers, but not enough to know how to run two OS's at once >_>

I REALLY hate to post my e-mail up here BUT I hope and pray that I can trust you people =.= Its Devilish4taz@netzero.com
If I get ANYTHING other then a game file and a small commentary or 'your welcome' then I'm going to flame you down with hundreds of e-mails and subscribe you to every Spam mail possible =.=

Otherwise, Thank you! If you have Exile (any of the 4 is fine, Ruined World prefered) or any of the Avernum series, plz mail it to me!

Ahh.... I get it. You are running WinXP. Which I think, if I remember correctly, has drivers which are, in effect, overspecced for Exile. All of the other SW games should work, though, because they were developed with later OS's in mind.

Also, if I remember correctly, BoA will not work under Win95 (probably more importantly, a 16-bit OS and Win95 drivers). Which is why I'm going to have to wait until I build a new PC with a different OS to try it. frown
