Look, You like MACs, I like PCs, we both agree that Linux's are too insignificant to count, so lets just leave it at that. Um, I downloaded the GF2 Trainer (cause my brother can't play without cheating), but he was wondering, Is there a way to learn new shaping skills/spells by using your creator? I REALLY hate dressing up like a girl. - Archmagi Micael you can use mine for shaping skills and stuff. use the link in my sig. it is a script replacer seeing as you can use the trainer Im gonna assume you use PC (holds back mean remark) what you do if you want to use it is you download the editor (obviously) and open your Geneforge 2 folder open Geneforge 2 data (i think that is what it's called) and go to script drag your newly downloaded file into script if it is named right it should bring up an option saying something like a file already exists with this name in this location do you want to replace it ? replace cancel choose replace if no message like that comes up than the editor will not work what it does is replace the dialogue script for entry valley (the place you start in) so that the obelisk by the place where you see your first essence and healing pools has different options. if that doesn't work ill send you an entire scripts folder EDIT: oh ya never i will never sign a peace treaty with PC die PC die die die die die die die die die Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Try to keep this thread to something both productive and remotely related to GF2. As to why it doesn't work, you might want to list the steps you took and the error messages/problems you encountered along the way. Figuring out anything is a bit hard without specifics. Tenderfoot Thahd Vendark Posted May 10, 2005 Share Posted May 10, 2005 hmmm....ok...I had no problems with anything but the trainer doesnt seem to do anything to Geneforge 2. 1:I opened the trainer. 2: I opened Geneforge (2). 3:I Pressed alt/tab and pressed what i wanted. 4:I went back to Geneforge and started the game. 5: Nothing was different at all i had he same skill points, none of the buttons worked. Immortality didnt work at all (T pissed off some people at a town to see if it worked and i ended up dieng 1nce agian.(P.S. Yes i did try using the trainer when i was playing the game.) It's a problem I haven't yet found a solution to. Sorry. [EDIT] If you still want to give the trainer a try, it works with the demo version from Spiderweb's site. Just place the saved game that you used the trainer on (the demo version) in place of your saved game from RealArcade. When you load it later, the changes you made will hold.
