Fledgling Fyora teknokrat Posted May 11, 2018 Share Posted May 11, 2018 I've got as far as Fort Forsight. The fight was really tough and I worked my way back to Redbeard's camp. Suddenly everyone was involved in the fight. The 3 hands werte killed but so was Redbeard. Now, I can't get into Fort Forsight. The doors are locked. Is the game broken now? What can I do? Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer Posted May 11, 2018 Share Posted May 11, 2018 You might have to reload from an earlier save since I don't know what happens if Redbeard dies here. It's been a while so I don't remember if you had to tell Redbeard that you cleared the way. Normally if you defeat the 3 Hands you are now able to enter Fort Foresight. You might try getting closer to the gates and see if you can enter or talk to a gate guard. I know there are places where you need to be at certain locations to trigger the next event and being one square away will make a difference. Welcome to Spiderweb Software. This is fairly disappointing and shows how ridiculous things are on Hard. Three hands killed Redbeard and all his guards and all my characters bar one. The fight can be nasty on even normal difficulty and the Hint Book recommends going back to get help from Redbeard and his party for this fight. Redbeard and his escort can very easily get killed by the three Hands, especially on higher difficulties. Well-Actually War Trall Spidweb Posted May 28, 2018 Share Posted May 28, 2018 This sounds like a definite problem, and nobody ever emailed me about those Hands ability to kill Redbeard before. I would go back to a saved game from before that fight starts and try again. Lure then back to the camp but fight with Redbeard to kill them. ALso, make sure you have upgraded to the newest version.
