Articulate Vlish dolphindave
Why does the dirext X file open from the Avadon 2 folder but the short cuts in the start menu, desktop etc. Cause the game to quit upon loading a previously saved game? Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
The shortcuts are probably to the OpenGL version instead of the DirectX version. It sounds like your computer has some problems with the OpenGL version. This sometimes happens, which is why the DirectX version exists in the first place. If you want to use the shortcuts to launch Avadon 2, you'll have to make new shortcuts that point to the DirectX version instead. (Right-click on the application -> Create Shortcut -> put the shortcut where you want it to go)
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
what lilith said, easiest way to create shortcut is to drag with right mousebutton Avadon 2 DirectX.exe to dekstop and then select from dropdown menu create shortcuts here. Articulate Vlish dolphindave
Nope, I am talking about the shortcuts for the dirextX version, as I say in the post.
Curious Artila Copernicus
Nope, I am talking about the shortcuts for the dirextX version, as I say in the post. You're saying that opening the DirectX version from a shortcut doesn't work, but opening it directly does work? Hmm. I'd think that'd mean there was something wrong with the shortcuts themselves...
