Tenderfoot Thahd negatus
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but compared to all other Spiderweb games I have on Steam Avernum 4 is massive (302 MB). From what little I've read, it is not the biggest / longest game in the series. Does it have a lot of unique tile sets and audio? or was it just not compiled and compressed as efficiently? I'm just curious.
Ineffable Wingbolt Mosquito---Slayer
Avernum 4 stores it's save games in the installed Avernum 4 directory itself, A5 and later games store them in the documents folder, this could be it. (That's for the windows XP normal version though, I have no idea about steam.)
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Avernum 4 and Geneforge 4 both store the save games in the game folder. It meant when there were updates that you had to copy the files to the new game folder.
Tenderfoot Thahd negatus
Hmmm...So even on a fresh install, the unused save slots double the size of the game? Alright, thanks.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
Hmmm...So even on a fresh install, the unused save slots double the size of the game? Alright, thanks. yep, my save folder in A6 takes 124 megs space (multiple saves) while Avadon takes bit over 100 meg (with multiple saves too) ans The Pit takes bit over 40 megs space (same as before).
