Fledgling Fyora Zaradaqaw
Why is a 10-20 Blessed Shortsword so much more valuable (700) than a 8-24 Waveblade (250)? Are those extra two points at the bottom of the range worth a huge amount more than an extra 4 points at the top of the range? If so, why? Ineffable Wingbolt Mosquito---Slayer
It shouldn't more valuable then the waveblade purely on the basis of stats, but blessed items are generally given a higher price even if they aren't actually that good. Welcome to spiderweb software, please leave your sanity at the door, the valuation of items would have certainly helped in this regard. Ineffable Wingbolt MMXPERT-seraph of thermodynamics
Because it has more actual value, the value of items doesn't just depend on how good it is. Fledgling Fyora Zaradaqaw
Thanks for the quick replies! I was trying to use "valuable" as a guide to "effective" which seems to hold true often. But fails in this case I guess. So it's probably a good deal to wield the waveblade and sell the blessed shortsword.
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Yeah, cash value is very often misleading, especially where magical items are concerned.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
gold value doesn't mean anything when compared items, only stats matter.
