Ineffable Wingbolt Scorpius
I'm not sure how the damage mechanics work in the Exile games, but would, say, a 4 damage weapon with a 5 bonus do more damage than a 9 damage weapon with a 1 bonus? I know the bonuses also apply to the To-Hit chance, so there's that, but do they multiplied etc? ps hello alorael *slow wink*
Hatchling Cockatrice Slawbug
Damage of X, bonus of Y You will do 1dX + Y damage So, damage of 20, bonus of 10 gives you an average damage of 20-21, while damage of 10, bonus of 20 gives you an average damage of 25-26. In short, bonus is twice as good as damage. It's actually more than twice as good since it also improves your chance to hit. hi slurp
Ineffable Wingbolt Scorpius
sup g That's what I thought. I guess hi-dam weapons don't get the advantage of critical hit multipliers? I could never figure out if Jeff used something akin to the D&D system.

I'm not entirely sure anymore, but I think all weapons (or at least, all weapons of the same type) are treated pretty much the same in this respect. Unless you're talking about the Assassination skill, which IIRC is calculated separately after you hit in melee. Also, welcome back, Scorpius! Easygoing Eyebeast Trenton.
Oh... Well I learned something. *Throws away all his high level weapons without bonuses, and pretends to have already known about this* Also, Nice to meet you Scorpius!
