Geneforge 4/5 on Steam

I got geneforge on steam a while back, i loved the first 3 by the way, but when i tried to play either 4 or 5 it has an issue and i cannot launch the game, it says it is unavailable and will not launch, i have gone through the standard steam tech support, and nothing works.

if you went through Steam support, they probably had you try this, but I'll throw it out there just in case:

 

I've had this problem once or twice (not geneforge, but other games), usually with corrupted files, and was able to correct it by right clicking on the game (in steam client), going to properties, the local files tab, and clicking 'verify integrity of game cache...'
