Rotghroth Rhapsody waterplant
Good example. China is approaching a tipping point where it will be capable of exploiting it's own (yet uncharted) resources to compliment their, in some cases, world leading home grown technologies. The cities that China will build to house it's vast population have the potential to be the most cutting edge anywhere in every respect. Kind of like USA 100 years ago. Also China, or at least the Chinese government, controls it's money supply so there shouldn't be so much profit/inflation related shennanigans stuffing things up. Easygoing Eyebeast VCH
I bet you China will be the country that leads the "Green revolution". They'll be forced into being a leader by their own growth.

Are there any industrialized nations that don't control their money supplies? Only all of them. Check out 'fractional reserve banking'. Those who print currency and set interest rates have, throughout modern history, caused more armed conflicts than even religion.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
The only Green Revolution in China is making money. China has one of the worst records for environmental pollution. They want to modernize the Western way.

Like I said they don't have the space or resources to live like we do so they'll have to start in on some renewable energy at some point, and in fact they already have.
