This could've been a potentially epic battle if most of it wasn't spent waiting 3-minute increments for everything out of visual range to process. That it -- I wanna kill-em-all code. I've already had to restart it three times, and it's just too damn tedious to feel guilty about cheating out of it.

Unfortunately, jeff killed the debugkill cheat, so the best you can do is healing, recharging, and shields

I think he may want the game to go faster, not make the battle easier. My only suggestion for that is maybe turn the graphics down and free up some ram (?).

Yeah, I agree this area tends to be pretty obnoxious. Fortunately, it really is the only major fight like it in the game. The problem, as you alluded, is that the conflict is too big with too much going on in different areas.

I'd already snuck through before I got the pass, I just wanted to go back and do it legit. I changed my mind; it was just running waaaaay too slow to be fun.

 

Given that this looks like the major battle in the game, it's a shame it performs so poorly, because by all rights it should be an exciting moment. And graphics isn't the issue; most the action was offscreen, so it wasn't even being rendered, it was just sucking up cycles.

Try this. Stand by the gate to the city and send your creations(if any) out into the orchard. thair target is the city so your creations can attack and if they reach the gate you can take them out.

I spread my creations out for this one. I sent the ones who didn't need my healing, like the Rots and War Trall, to the outlying areas and kept the more vulnerable ones close, like the Wingbolt, Drayk. I guess I had a completely different reaction to this area than many did. I sometimes reloaded and restarted on this one to see how many soldiers I could save. I always hated it when any person or creature fighting alongside my party died.
