Hey everyone i threw this together to well so you can either give yourself a full purse maximum stats a huge amount of experience or get my favorite weapons. Since it otherwise will not work i had to write over some of the dialog of it heres what i did the cook is the editor i only changer what she said on like "how did you get to Avernum ?" And such the food place is still there and all but another thing is it says it tried to process an invalid script or something i cant remember but i think it did that in all of G3 editors right ? Well i couldn't see anything wrong s the install thing for those of us who don't know how

Hmmm, I haven't even talked to the cook yet, in this new actual game, but if I leave the modified file in my game, the following happens:

 

I get 2000 gold for a bar of iron when I give it to Dawdy instead of 20 gold.

 

The bar of iron doesn't go away from my inventory no matter how many times I give it to him.

 

Out goes the file unless I'm testing something.

Sounds like it could use some tinkering.

Will it be ported over to windows when the time comes?

I know that doesn't seem like much but well when the stats are all there and everything it seems a heck of a lot bigger so well there choose and maybe ill change it.

I have a request. Would you be willing to modify your editor and add one more feature? What I would like to be able to do is add SP to my PC at the beginning of a game without causing him to level up, nor to be maximally SP'ed. This can only be achieved through Wisdom Crystals and Knowledge Brews. Will you add an option to Bodrie's script to add like five or ten Knowledge Brews to a PC's inventory? It would be especially helpful if they were the rare ones which give four SP instead of the usual two.

 

This would be exceedingly useful. What do you think?

It's very easy to do, just change the dialog option where she gives you the weapons/armor to knowledge elixers.

The item number is 240 for elixers, 239 for brews, if you want I can send you my modified file.

 

This goes for the incoherent and fairly rude poster who wanted more weapons and "not just a dumb deadeye cloak"; do it yourself.

 

av4itemschars.txt is the file that contains all the items, just search for the name of what you want.

Then put it into Hawk Kings modified .dlg file.

 

Also note that either A4 loads dialog options when you start it or saves them; it didn't change the cooks dialog from blah blah weapons to blah blah knowledge brews until I quit and reloaded. But it did give me the potions. (This is only important for people who are as insane as I am, and like continuity)

Thank you . Synergy i actually already did that but now in the well for loss of a better word version. But seeing as Duality kindly told you the simple and easy way to do it yourself I will load it anyway. Same link as before

Just out of curiosity, since this is way out of my skill range, would if be possible to import character graphics from a previous version to this one?

It would be quite nice if you could.

Thanks Hawk and Duality. I got your updated version of the editor, Hawk. Just so you are aware, the version you modified has the 2000 gold per iron bar feature in it. I don't want that, so I edited it back to normal, and fixed up the grammar for the Knowledge Elixirs to my liking. Yeah, not so hard to do, after all. Now I can set up a singleton with the Skill Points of two PCs.
