  1. Never mind, I just did a Facepalm. I forgot steam synchs everything unless I turn it off. I didn't realize this till after I made this post. Sorry, you can delete this if you want.
  2. Does anyone know where the save game locations for A:Eftp and A:CS are, I've looked in several places and deleted the entire saved games folders in Documents. However, the saves are still there when I load the game and they still load, further more. Once I close the game, the saved games folder is back in place in my documents with the saves there again. I have both games through Steam. I am running Windows 10 64-bit.
  3. Thanks for the help, I got VirtualBox to work with it.
  4. Do you have suggestion for a program to use?
  5. I'm having trouble understanding this and I don't want to start up an old topic (usually intensively frowned upon) so I'm starting a new topic. Is there a way to run exile games on the windows 10 without installing another version of windows?
  6. Is that in addition to the encounter at the ruined fort? Does it stack with that? A:CS
  7. I've been encountering books that I couldn't read because I didn't know enough Vahnatai lore. I already learned some from the teacher in the ruined fort, is there a place to learn more or is that it for learning the language and the books are just unreadable?
  8. I meant like for exploring and discovering places.
  9. Everything I read about luck has been combat related, but does it also affect encounters? I'm asking this for A:EftP and A:CS.
  10. I should re-word this a bit, my fault. If I make a custom class, will it still level the stats the same way for example. If I make a berserker, then I make a custom class. Will i.e. str, end, etc. still increase in their respective places? Or is it the same for all party members no matter what in that they all get the same stat increases? Does what I put points into skills affect what stat is increased with each level?
  11. Hello, I'm posting to ask that if you make a custom build party in A:EFTP and A:CS will it still level the same as a party that is premade i.e. soldier, berserker, etc.
  12. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to fix this, I'm trying to run Geneforge 1-3 on Windows 8, but I am unable to bring my resolution to 800x600. The game also isn't able to do it automatically. I've already checked my resolution options and it doesn't go that low. So is there a way to play them with a higher resolution? I'm trying to run the geneforge series I bought from steam. Windows 8 Pro Nvidia GTX 550Ti
  13. I think I remember him putting that up somewhere a long time ago. Well, it feels like a long time ago to me anyways. I still think it would be nice if it was a little less linear, but I still think the story was ok. Hopefully looking for something more in Avadon 2.
  14. Fixed: I followed the G5 topic in this forum on graphics problems by using the step: Uninstalling the game and making sure it was completely removed. Then installing it again.
  15. I start Geneforge 2 and go into the game, but whenever I start a game the graphics where items and tables etc. are supposed to be, there are just green grass colored squares. I have it set for the game to always change resolution. q8400 quad core processor nvidia gtx 550 ti 1gb ddr5 4 gb ram (let me know any additional information you need.) Geneforge 1 and 3-5 all work fine. Things I have tried: Downloading a fresh copy of G2 from HTTP Download in the download section and installing over the game to see if it changes anything.
  16. I'm not sure about this game. I thought the story was alright, but the game felt really linear. Unless I missed some sort of faction thing going on it, felt like that your forced into one conclusion with (slightly varying endings?). Didn't have the same feel as Avernum Series or Geneforge Series. Loved both those series. I felt like it differed too much from normal spiderweb design. I would like to see more development of it. What did everyone else think about this?
  17. I still play Blades of Avernum, sometimes it's just fun to go back and see the old stuff. Relive what you have forgotten and try new things. Sometimes we believe that were over a game, but years later we can look back on it and get the urge to play that game again. (I still think about pacman sometimes)
  18. I remember that one of the options in the character editor resets most if not all dungeons.
  19. Ah, thanks. I must have missed it.
  20. I was wondering if the essence gains per level are all equal for example: you have a lifecrafter, sorceress, and a servile. If all had 4 intelligence and leveled for 6 levels, would they all end up with the same amount of essence?
  21. Ok, so I just decided to sit down and start reading through the script line by line. I figured out what i was doing wrong and the correct thing to add. NOTE: DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS WITHOUT FIRST "Creating a Backup Copy of the Script". You yourself will be responsible if you make any changes. The script edited was gf5itemchars. What happened was I was assuming that I needed to make it a: cr_max_ type deal, but really when I was reading through the script I realized that it is a "statistic". All the statistics have a designated number to them. If you look at this link from strategy central (link below), the first two posts were made by "THE RATT". All credit as far as I know goes to that person for the list of the statistical numbers. http://www.spiderweb...015&post=166995 The correct procedure is that you need to insert the text after the character type but before the text that begins the script, and you'll know because the text will say begin. Notice how I have Lifecrafter highlighted as a reference, it's highlighted to let you know that I am altering the Lifecrafters stats. In this case you'll notice I have circled in red: cr_statistic 0 = 15 The statistic being altered is "strength" as you can see from the list in the second post by "THE RATT". Strength is designated as stat 0. What I have just told the script is that it will add 15 to the strength of a Lifecrafter when you start a new game (unsure if it works in saved game). This is just what I have learned by reading the script. One final warning, I do not know how much editing the script will allow. If you choose to edit the script, you do so at your own risk.
