  1. New argument! Who is your favorite character not included on the list?

For me, it's the boatmaker in Cotra in E/A1 who talks like a pirate and wears an eyepatch, but when confronted, admits that he wasn't actually exiled for piracy.

(Note that this isn't an argument for including faux-pirate in the rankings. I can't even remember his name, so he's not very noteworthy to the series overall. I just remember him fondly.)

  2. Since you put it that way, I guess I'd better find something we disagree about, so I can ruthlessly interrogate you about why you insist on being so wrong all the time. Hmm...

May I ask why you rated Sss-Thsss so high? To me, he seems indistinguishable from every other evil-worshiping warlord video game antagonist. Is there some nuance to him that I've missed/forgotten?

  3. Session highlights also include (spoiler alert):

Europe isn't a thing any more.

A horrifying creature is thrown from a moving vehicle

Three people try to figure out, if they lived in a converted garbage truck, what part they would sleep in

An opportunity for motorcycle theft seems too good to be true. The team psychic uses their powers to get more information

    Anyway, character sheet:

    Batty

    Gunlugger

    Cool +2 Hard +3 Hot -2 Sharp 0 Weird 0

    Moves:

    Insano like Drano

    Prepared for the inevitable

    Not to be ****** with

    Gear:

Silenced sniper rifle (3-harm far hi-tech)

    SMG (2-harm close area loud)

Grenade tube (4-harm close area reload messy)

    Many knives (2-harm hand infinite)

Armor worth 2-armor. Detail: If you had to guess, it looks like somebody took a piece of sheet steel and hammered it into the approximate shape of a human torso. Then Batty put it on, but people kept hammering

    Oddments worth 1-barter

    First aid kit, 2-stock (full)

    Look:

Man, battered old armor (see above), worn face (shaved head, deep tan from a life spent almost entirely outdoors), cunning eyes, stocky body (not fat, not muscular, just thick)

    Hx:

    Humvee +3

    Sundown +1

  4. I'm also fine with recording and posting. I'm gonna go read the New York State criminal code real quick, though. :p

Posting character sheets is a good idea. For one thing, I was furiously reading the rules while y'all made yours, so I probably missed some stuff. I'll type mine up and post it tonight.

  5. It's been ages since I played the demo, but here's what I remember:

Combat was real time and way too fast. You could pause and issue orders, but the length of the pause was limited by a refilling timer, creating a bizarre real-time pause that barely helped at all.

The demo's dungeon was dark, requiring you to carry a torch, but torches were limited and non-replenishing, so I wound up spending a lot of time in the dark. And I mean really dark- exploring was about as difficult as finding your way around a dark room at night. There were fiddly levers or buttons or something to open other parts of the dungeon, so this was a big problem.

At some point, a bug let me bypass the plot door that marked the end of the demo, allowing me to explore the rest of the game world. Parts of the game still didn't work, but I won't complain about that since I wasn't supposed to be there in the first place..

At least, that’s what she tells people. Unbeknownst to the party, she is actually analyst for Wireld’s intelligence service, specializing in Eressian affairs.
