I did what I know to do to delete it completely from steamapps, but no joy. "Avernum 4 and 5 (Steam version) crash on startup" Hardly the start of a series...O_o.. I'm sure all will be back in order tomorrowish/weekend..patience my friend. I've been itching to play 6 but couldn't bring myself to do it without completely finishing 5 first so here's my chance.

  4. Avadon is only 10 bucks on steam...and not an older game. You're a helluva a contributor to multiple communities - Why would you even attempt to say something like this? Not, trying to call you out..but let's be reasonable here, you have no idea why steam or Jeff for that matter - have the prices the way they are on the platform versus the site. Save for the fact on the site here it specifically still says CD.
  5. Alright, bud some of your fellow people over at steam had issues and apparently from what I can tell they created shortcuts to play through and utilized vsync...until they elaborate further I'll be unsure..but I'm going to link it here for now. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=30737310#post30737310

I have 4-6 through steam and they work fine...i5 clocked to 1.8...6370 512 8g ram win7 64 bit. I know this is a stupid question to ask..after what you've already tried...but did you verify the cache since you also didn't specifically state also doing this?
  7. Are tools used for anything? I'm assuming they are a quest item. The only reason I bring it up is because the female sage, in kva wilds (or whatever prior to the dragon) sells them.

However, they are no worse than any other game out there, regardless of genre. I think it's hype really. The fact is..and as you can probably agree from playing escape from the pit (new Ver) Yes, you can explore where ever the heck you'd like...and it's seemingly "open-ended" there are definitely area's you AREN't expected to enter early on - there is still a basic set path to follow with an ever increasing difficulty.
  9. Or does A-6 look far better than A:EFTP? Colors/models everything.
  10. I'm on windows 7 64 bit..steam download of geneforge saga...1.53 clocked to 1.8 i5...8 gm ram 512 6730 no issues what so ever with mouse or lag.
  11. I run it on 1280x768...monitor is set at 1600x900, and it looks fine connecting to my TV as well.
  12. First off great game, although I have only played the demo, and then purchased the rest on steam...That being said, if new users are coming here and don't know..it is cheaper to play the demo and then buy the full game through steam. The game will still have your demo save. That's all. Edited in the bit about the save.
