  1. There is a 50% chance my memory of what Jeff said about the exact planned remake order is 100% incorrect... he and Mariann did seem equally ready to bring both A4 and G3 up to their more recent standards, though, and he went on at some length about A4 and A5 both needing an update. As a side note (since I've thoroughly derailed this topic already...), to my great disappointment, he did confirm the A4-A6 remakes will not convert to the separate world map exploration style which I believe is used in all his other games. That's by far what I disliked most about A4-A6 - placing the entire map on a single "zoomed-in" scale killed the sense of the vast scope of the world for me, with locations that were supposed to be 100 miles apart per in-game lore appearing to be about 100 meters apart instead. But I understand that would be an even much bigger overhaul than he's able/willing to take on for the remakes, and for some reason unfathomable to me, apparently some players prefer the zoom. Kind of a moot point regardless, since he'll be taking my money for all remakes almost on day one anyway.
  2. I am "pretty sure" (exuding unjustified confidence here) Jeff is going to stick to the plan of finishing Queen's Vlish 3 next, before the pack of remaining G3-5/A4-6 remakes, and I don't remember him saying anything to the contrary on the Feb 10 stream at least.
  3. I think Jeff mentioned on the Feb 10 stream that A4 might be the next remake before G3 (all post-QW3 of course), though I could be misremembering and getting that backwards. Whatever the exact order, he seems very keen to remake G3, A4, and A5 especially (as well as A6).
  4. And as Jeff himself realizes, even the current remakes as of today are a bit clunky with e.g. greater than 1080p resolutions etc. He could keep remaking the remakes every 10-15 years and always have something to do to keep all of his games - even the more relatively recent ones like A6 - mostly current from a technical standpoint.
  5. Both Jeff and Mariann mentioned several times on the recent Feb 10 Steam G2 demo stream that G3 was the weakest of the series, and is due for a more significant overhaul in the remake. How far that actually goes obviously remains to be seen. (In response to my and others' points in the chat, they were similarly hyped for the upcoming A4-A6 remakes.)
  6. They may in fact also hint at the sacrifices, but they're just flavor pop-ups (appearing in the southeastern area of the southern Kranas, and again in the southern area of the northern Kranas), and have nothing to do with the timing of the Cestus judgment or anything else.
  7. OK, thanks for the replies - I admit I'm also not looking to go through that kind of testing for something I'm not especially interested in, and it seems nobody else is likely to want to invest the time either.
  8. One more sorta tangential question - what exactly does the "Damage to Kranas/Dhaga/Litha" effect given by the Conqueror's Venom necklace and some runes do? Does it a) add +5 physical and magical damage whenever fighting any enemies in those respective provinces, b) apply that bonus anywhere in the game but only when fighting human enemies from those provinces, or c) something else, and if so, what?
  9. 1) Missing rep changes: a) In the Low Dhaga section, as an alternative to ""(Just leave.)" -2R" with the young Ro hunters surrounded by lizards, the option "Help them!" gives +2R. b) Defeating the final group of scorpions east of the Shattered City gives +2R. c) Defeating Pitmaster Grenich in the arena gives +2R and +2V. d) Attacking the Geld Nas camped east of Deep Post Anelace gives -3R. 2) Errors: a) Paying Sparl to free Raiman gives -2R and -3V, not -2R and -2V. b) "Amberl (Sisilyn) [sp]" should be "Amberl (Isskale)" (with the entry also logically moved below the "Amberl (Ruska)" entry, since Isskale is encountered after Ruska). She isn't ever encountered in Ssilyn, as far as I'm aware. c) The "(Pull out the sword.)" entry is for Tranquility Path, not Tehrorman as listed. Also, adding an empty line for clarity between the Spiral Mine and this item would be helpful. d) The line "They will be honored by your interest. Perhaps someday you will, when your current work is done." is spoken by Darmal, not the player character. This is a bit confusing, as it's inconsistent with the rest of the list where the player character's dialogue choices are instead listed as the reputation triggers. Unfortunately, I didn't write down the exact PC dialogue choice that leads to this one. e) There was another very minor error somewhere (I think it was the difference between +/- 1V vs. 2V), but unfortunately I didn't note it at the time. If I remember later, I'll edit this post to describe the issue, but it's unlikely. 3) Formatting: Many of the outdoor encounter listings, Sutter and Delia mirror dialogues, and High Litha and Kranas listings are out of logical order in terms of when you're likely to encounter them - e.g. the "Open the coaches." Low Dhaga encounter is in the northern part of the province, but is listed near the top of the section among encounters in the southern half. This is obviously not a critical issue, but as a more chronological ordering may be useful to readers, I thought I'd mention it. Thank you!
  10. I've verified most of them in game, if that helps. Also as noted, many are typos and/or inconsistencies with your "resources" topic, so game version updates aren't relevant. If it's still not possible to update the top post, I guess people will need to read both the top post and then search through the topic for my corrections for accurate current data - whatever works. (4 December 2022) I found several more substantive errors in the above list, and have consolidated all issues found to date here in this bottom post, also in line with my post in the "QW2 - Resources" forum topic: Errors in "QW2 - Atlas of Quests and Item Locations" topic data: - missing wood (5) / stone (2) / iron (4) / quicksilver (2) reward from picking Yvette as governor - missing wood (2) / stone (1) reward from getting Raasa Elha's permission to travel Pilgrimage Road - "Geld Nes [sp] assassin (after getting second part of Geld Nas quest) - can let go with bribe - Clarity Brew quicksilver (1)" - "Kranas Claim - wood (5), iron (4 5)" - "Claim of High Litha - wood stone (5), quicksilver (2)" - "300 XP for rest, 100c if don’t give bonuses to convicts - less resources reduced by wood (3), stone (3) if convicts killed only wood (3), stone (3)" - "Esker Keep - wood (15), stone (20), iron (4 5)" - "Trader Tsuenai [sp] - Tsuenai’s End [sp] - Deep Metal, stone (1) (or if spared by Geld Nas stone (2)), 300 XP - "Shattered City - wood (5), stone (5) - fully cleared wood (10), stone (5 10)" - "Oravera Claim - stone (5), quicksilver (1 2)" - "The White Crypts - stone (3), quicksilver (1 2)" - "Larokan Ruins [sp] - stone (2) given by Captain Azucena in Esker Keep after fully clearing" - missing healing potion and truth scourge rewards from encounters in Aram Peaks - (there are many other errors in the data, but the above are the ones - mostly with a focus on fort resources - I happened to find) Errors in "QW2 - Resources" topic data (also noted in my subsequently edited post in that topic): - missing iron (1) optional bribe from Head Kuanysh Cestus judgment - missing quicksilver (1) optional bribe from Geld Nas assassin Cestus judgment - missing stone (3) optional reward from Altynay Cestus judgment - missing wood (4) / stone (1) / iron (3) / quicksilver (1) reward from killing the Young Heart Tree in Tehrorman - Gentle Coast / Litha Claim - wood stone (5), quicksilver (2) - Shattered Ruins - wood (5), stone (5) - fully cleared wood (10), stone (5 10)
  11. Following up with more consistency issues between this topic, the QW2 Resources topic, and the game data (many thanks to Randomizer for their time and patience potentially updating both of these very useful topics' top posts accordingly for readers' future reference): (3 December 2022) I've added another error to my list, and moved it to my post at the bottom of topic for easier visibility.
  12. Missing from the list: accepting Head Kuanysh's bribe (in a Cestus judgment) grants 1 iron. Also, I think reclaiming Esker Keep gives 5 iron (like Fort Precipice), not 4. Finally, there are a number of typos throughout this topic and the QW2 "atlas of quests and item locations" topic (grammar, NPC names, etc.); correcting them would make searching the topics for information much more reliable, but I understand a massive amount of work has been put into this research already, and it's hugely appreciated even without further refinements. Cheers. (4 December 2022) I found several more substantive errors in the above list, and have consolidated all issues found to date here, also in line with my post in the "QW2 - Atlas of Quests and Item Locations" forum topic: Errors in "QW2 - Resources" topic data: - missing iron (1) optional bribe from Head Kuanysh Cestus judgment - missing quicksilver (1) optional bribe from Geld Nas assassin Cestus judgment - missing stone (3) optional reward from Altynay Cestus judgment - missing wood (4) / stone (1) / iron (3) / quicksilver (1) reward from killing the Young Heart Tree in Tehrorman - Gentle Coast / Litha Claim - wood stone (5), quicksilver (2) - Shattered Ruins - wood (5), stone (5) - fully cleared wood (10), stone (5 10)
  13. Cool, thanks! That would make it significantly more useful.
  14. Not sure this is a good place to ask, but I have a rookie question re: some possibly vague tooltip text: the text for the "Blessing" effect granted by e.g. Haven's Might states "All of your abilities get a bonus to damage." Does this include standard physical/magical weapon attacks, or only actual unique "abilities" (Brutal Blow, Shock, etc.) as implied? I hope/assume the former is the case and standard attacks also benefit from the blessing, but the wording is ambiguous. Cheers!
  15. 3/3/1 Ro/Industry/Knowledge is my plan. I don't feel the 4 Ro theft reduction (the rep boost is at 3 Ro, not 4) is worth forgoing the alternatives. In any case, I think at least 2 Industry (for Mad Flurry) and 1 Knowledge (for Energy Potions) seem almost mandatory - though obviously personal play style is a major factor. So, I guess I'm in line with Dr. Hieronymous above.
  16. Yeah, stone and quicksilver are the two most limited resources by far throughout the entire game; I won't be building any mills or bakeries in order to avoid this sneaky trap myself.
  17. I thought you only needed 1 fort dedicated to knowledge for energy potions, with 2 giving instead/also the brute flask and burning sphere? (This is from your "QW2 - Advice for Playing" topic, but I could be misreading.) If this isn't the case, this will change my plan for a 3/3/1 Ro/Industry/Knowledge dedication balance for the 7 forts.
  18. I think Jeff may be tweaking the text for v102 to clarify Vasilo's location in the Fangs after that certain point in the quest - though I could be misremembering, because he's mentioned on various Steam topics quite a few clarity tweaks to dialogue like this coming up. Of course, that's not relevant right now for v101, but FYI.
  19. Although it seems many Spidweb diehards prefer Geneforge, and I love that series too, Avernum is and always has been the GOAT for me. That said, I 200% agree with disliking A4-A6 for their reversion to the weird not-properly-scaled single game map. I assume when Jeff finally does remaster these three after the upcoming remaining Geneforge remasters (and of course QW3), he'll bring them back in line with his otherwise standard open world-vs.-individual location map system. It just gives a much more accurate sense of the scale of the world, and makes exploration/lore more fun and consistent.
  20. Yeah, a dedicated thread would be helpful - there's at least one ongoing topic where others are already sharing their own codes (which I'm sure you saw), so maybe those could be copied over with the users' permission to one clearly labeled place for future reference.
  21. Thanks, Mechalibur - especially to avoid running out of stone for more useful buildings, I'm also planning to forgo the shop discounts and not build many/any mills or bakeries in particular, and to keep my Ro rep as high as reasonably possible. It's just my completionist nerd personality that wants to figure out how things work like this under the hood, but when I finally play I may do some testing myself as you suggest and revisit my post here. I'm probably the only one who cares, but there may be at least one other nut out there.
  22. Ah, of course - manually comparing one report to the previous; makes sense. And if anyone can help me confirm/edit the bolded "???" items in my longer post above, I'd be obliged - I'm assuming the lack of responses simply means people don't know, but any confirmed info could help. One major thing that seems like it could be fairly easily confirmed is whether changes to theft stats imply a change in the chance of theft occurring at all every two days, or in the amount/percentage of the resources that are stolen consistently each period. The manual and tooltips suggest the former, but it seems people are reporting that when they start seeing theft, it's consistent and always in the same amount - and I know the info in the manual and tooltips hasn't always been correct in Spidweb games!
  23. When these things happen, do you get an in-game message re: the theft chance/amount increase? Just wondering how you knew. And I do realize at some point I need to just play the game myself, lol - just waiting for 1.02.
  24. Thanks as always, Mechalibur - would you be able to share (or could I determine myself through the game files) a list, along with the resulting theft chance/amount increase values? Again, if it's possible to search the game location/dialogue files for specific text, that would help fill in a couple of the missing items I'm looking for.
