I'm trying to install Nethergate Resurrection off of the CD-ROM on Mac OS Lion, and i get the error "This installer requires admin privileges to run" Even launching it from the terminal using sudo, it proceeds to give the same error Is there a way to get this to install from the CD?

Nethergate: Resurrection

Why did i recall reading thaa in several places then? I know it got quite a few rewards and that those of us who loved it mostly still play it and keep discovering random quirks -
Nethergate: Resurrection

Ok, if nobody's going to say it, WHAT ABOUT THE PUZZLE CUBE? WILL WE HAVE AN ANSWER AS TO WHAT IT DOES???!! Or did is it just removed? Quote: Originally written by Excalibur: Nethergate is for the most part, dead. Nethergate Resurrection sounds cool, but it will probably be a flop. You realize that up until the Geneforge Series (not the first Geneforge game mind you) that Nethergate was the #1 selling Spidweb game, right? -

Honestly? This news demands i return my displayed name to what i used to have it at. -
old vs new version
Lord Sylak replied to Shine123's topic in Nethergate and Nethergate: Resurrection
I think Nethergate is very owrth tis price. Remember, the world size is actually that X2 because thigns work diffrently as Romans and Celts. Also, i hope my OS 8.6 box will be able to play the new Nethergate whe it comes out -
The only thing i want to seein A5 is X's Anvil spell, to hell with the plot so long as i can drop an anvil on an enemy (or group of enemies)

A4 - need help breaking those barriers
Lord Sylak replied to Lord Sylak's topic in Second Avernum Trilogy
Your browser is reacting in error to a little snippet of code which was dloating around here a whiel ago which should just make register date and location backwards. -
so, i killed the pesky demon in the tower colony, and i was told by the guy that upstairs i could find break barriers. So, where is it? ive looked in 2 books but cant get to the third because my pericign crystals dont break it. Am i confusing this with another quest, or m i jsut having crappy luck?

Goboo was the best charctor, aside from Hiawatha. The 6th char persons kick ass, there is no doubt.

hey there will be nethergate2?
Lord Sylak replied to Dark Mage's topic in Nethergate and Nethergate: Resurrection
ah, but taht was the beauty of it, its challenging appeal and intriging mystery of how to beat it and beat everything. Not even any of the guides ocem close to knowing all tis secrets. -
What is Scribbane?
Lord Sylak replied to MrRoivas's topic in Avernum Trilogy (2000-2002 original versions)
this question should be added to the "FAQ" on te forums, if not already there. -
I was browsing Wikipedia and found that there was no Article on Nethergate in it, so, i took about 2 1/2 hours of my time, and created one. What id like is for th eNethergate fan community to correct any errors i made, because i haven't palyed the game all the way through in a while. page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nethergate

Is there a purpase of the barrier in the Northern part of the Crone's palace, where youwalk across and see your faces on the warriors as Celts?

I wouldn't be suprised if Jeff did unite Geneforge and Exile/Avernum, a little pissed, but not suprised. As to A4: correct me if somebody else has beatenthe game already, but i don't think in the end it will be the Vanthai who are the enemy, but somethign is controling the vantahi or is something else. And, I think the game is what the Geneforge engleine should have been: turn based 3D, not partial real-time, partial turnbased. Also, stop ragging on teh game because you don't like it. A4 will attract a new audience, thoose who want the ridculous 3D graphics and a bad plot. as to Dikiyoba's Theory: Slith couldn't have been creationof the Vantahi, because they camefrom a diffrent world entirley, and were banished there, making them the only real aliens in the game. If you ever got to the one place, Old something in A/E or E2/A2, i forgot which one, then you'll get it. Jeff should write a companion book to the games and sell it, just to confirm waht's canon and what's not.

Stat boost for evil deeds?
Lord Sylak replied to Xoid's topic in Nethergate and Nethergate: Resurrection
is it perhaps the Celtic Shrine as Romans? Because i don't remember this myself -
Nethergate News
Lord Sylak replied to Alorael at Large's topic in Nethergate and Nethergate: Resurrection
I think that a new Nethergate would make teh game more popular, and perhaps he would be able to finally reember the use of the puzzle box -
Which do you prefer?
Lord Sylak replied to Archmagus Micael's topic in Nethergate and Nethergate: Resurrection
Nethergate wasn't as big of a game as avernum because it had to have 2 diffrent worlds in it with twice the nodes as one world, becasue ther are two stories. Also, i beleive Nethergate won more awards then Avernum. -
Nethergate Update Poll
Lord Sylak replied to Morgaine's topic in Nethergate and Nethergate: Resurrection
ACtually, a Nethergate 2 would be cool if it had the First Nethergame with a face-lift in it, and a second game of the same style. -
i suggest grabbign a demo of VMware Virtual Workstation [ http://vmware.com ] and making a virtual Win98 or Win2K box to run exile if it works: then go ahead and get an sn to continue using it. if not: uninstall it

I beleive this game brought alot of the older newer people here, but A3 and Geneforge brought thenewest wave of newbies here. I think Nethergate has the BEST story, and would be very popular if remade like Exile, but with a little extra thigns there, like another isde quest and SOMETHING to do with the puzzle box, or its elemination all together.
