    A3:RW Lorelei Pass Bug

Used the Orb of Thralni to hop over the Skribbane drug checkpoint, and the 4th stone circle dialogue popped up.

    Canon Endings

I was thinking about what happened from G3-G4-G5, but why not for all the games? Here's what I have, to the best of my knowledge. I would appreciate it if others add on. G1: - Factionless ending? - Kill both Trajkov and Goettsch? - Geneforge destroyed? (or maybe that's left to the Shaper Council) G2: I'm actually a bit confused on this one. So Easss dies, but is Drypeak purged, or do the secrets remain hidden? (because Ghaldring has to go to the Ashen Isles) G3: Yeah, still confused on this one too. Does Rahul die here, or later on? Pretty sure this is rebel victory though. G4: I thought the Unbound were finished at full power, and the vats remained undamaged, but there were just so many options. Kinda sad the PC in this game is kinda irrelevant/never mentioned again. G5: lol
  3. If I talk to the smugglers and tell them to go to Hawkstone before I get the quest from Eye Audun, I won't be able to finish the quest.

    Geneforge 3 remake speculation

Time to replay the series, just to hype myself up for the rewrite. I'm pretty sure he's gonna go through g1 and g2 first, and that it's mainly just going to be an interface/graphic update (to make it more similar to G5 gameplay-wise). I hope the spell/creation choices stay the same though - it reflects the evolving knowledge in war over time.
  5. Is there a plot summary out there for any game, just for massive spoilers? (Including the details and specific endings/scenarios, kind of like the GameFAQs guides for Geneforge/Avernum)
  6. I was watching a Let's Play of Avernum 2 (in the original trilogy), and I saw that there used to be multitarget spells that required you to select individual targets. Why hasn't this appeared in any of the Geneforge games, Second Trilogy Avernum, or Avadon? If a "number of target limit" imposed, this could make some pretty nice abilities. I think it's a great function that can serve as a go-between for single-target and 10-20ish size aoe and cones.

    A2CS Remix -- testers wanted

Hey! I gave up on my own remix (I'm lazy and trying to enjoy my summer as much as possible), but I would be more than willing to help out!
  8. I couldn't bring myself to play Avernum 1 because of its graphics. I don't think Exile will fare much better. Forgive me for being uncultured :<
  9. Just two questions before I try doing this: Is there already a mod for A2:CS? Is there a guide for modding A2:CS or Spiderweb Games in general? I know how to go about modding, but I'd like to be aware of the possibilities and limitations of modding.

Features You'd Want In Geneforge Remakes

It would be very nice if the GUI for a G1 remake was similar to that in G4 or G5, without the start/end combat symbol effect in Avernum remakes/Avadon. Or an option to enable/disable it.

    moonchaser quest

There's no consequence for extorting more money from them both.

    Pact Brigands

It's not TOO hard to kill them if you have a summon or turret help you tank damage. Also, you can always finish the main quest first to gain a level or two, then come back.

    Second Chabon quest and turrets

Hm. When I played, it was possible to stay out of their range while you slowly sniped them down.
  14. I would like for NPCs that can join your party but aren't necessarily Hands.

    Endgame question.

I've finished the game now. At first, I had my two companions bunny hop and leave my PC to stay behind...not good.

    Endgame question.

I'm back at Fort Foresight, but I can't get past the south pathway. I keep on dying since there a lot of enemies and they do crazy damage. I manage to stay alive and kill loads of them, but then one manages to get right next to my team and AoE them all for 200~300, or one of the sorceresses does three "storm" attacks in a row...

    Endgame question.

Oh, I was at that part where you have to run...I did a little more research and found out Tawon raiders infinitely spawn from the south exit zone (thats where I stood my ground for about 20 minutes before just dying...)

    Making Vardegras Look Silly

I just used regular attack over and over again. Basically gave Yoshiria the Battle Frenzy Scarab, maxed center column, and 8 razordisk training, as well as a crapload of missile boosts and 41 Dex. Her single base attack is enough to deal 100~200 to Vardy each hit. It was a pretty cheap strategy, but when life gives you doors (or staircases!)...
  19. Lure him to the northwest door where your 'cell' was. One party member needs high dexterity to dish out powerful ranged attacks. Shoot, door, skip, skip, door, shoot, etc. Free loot and medal. Takes 2 minutes on Torment, have fun.

    Well, I wasn't referring to G1 specifically.

Are the AP items worth it?

We could make items that decrease the amount of AP you consume from certain actions.

Are the AP items worth it?

Are they even worth putting on the characters I use the most? I mean, Fleetfoot Boots are easily outmatched in terms of defense and resistance bonuses. As for the Shock Troop Shield, I would much prefer the Warrior's Shelter once I get it. Even then, other shields give bonuses to healing and HER that Shock Troop doesn't provide. And I haven't acquired Veneth's Spear yet, but who wants spears on Torment.

Are the AP items worth it?

Maybe if the AP boost was permanent, I would consider it, but there's too much luck in it for me. (Please, please, PLEASE GIVE ME 10 AP. Please, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PARRY...NOOOOOOOO!!!) That's what I try to do, (all Blademaster buffs AND both scarabs) but it still doesn't cut it for me.
  24. I'm kinda lost on how to do this. I'm trying to beat this game on Torment using a Blademaster PC along with Yoshiria and Alcander. The Strategy Central guide doesn't really tell me anything about class skill building. Characters are all Lv20. Tristram has every point pumped into Strength. (28) 2 Points in Middle Column 8 Melee Training, 6 Archery Training. 8, 6, and 1 in the center column, from bottom to top, not counting the 2 specialization points. 7 points in second wind. He can do some pretty big damage, but a lot of the bosses like to knock him back, immobilize him, and then two shot him. Yoshiria has everything in Dexterity (29) 2 Points in Middle Column, again. 7 in both Blade and Razordisk Training, 7, 3, 3 in Middle column without specialization bonus, and 3 points in Recovery and Shadowstep, 1 point in Shadowwalker Focus. Needless to say, she has less health and gets beat up even faster than Tristram. At least Alcander can summon his turrets and then get the hell out of there, assuming he isn't killed first either...I must have spent two hours on that Hundred Claws fight. Any suggestions?
  25. On another question regarding percentages, when I have damage, dodge, or some other boost, are the percentages added up and then multiplied with damage, or are they compounded? Or is it that each percentage is tested or something complicated like that? Like lets say I have a +10% and a +5% melee damage. I do 100 base. If it was just +15%, I would do 115, but it it was compounded I would do 115.5. (110*1.05) Just wondering if it's more worthwhile to pile all boosts on one character, or if they start becoming obsolete at some point. This is because Yoshiria already has 37 dexterity at this point, as well as... Spidersilk Tunic (25% dodge) Sheltering Buckler (25% dodge, 5% enchantment, wonder if these are added up as well?) Smoky Greaves (20% dodge, 5% enchantment) Shadow Mask (20% dodge) I could also give her a 20% dodge cloak and sacrifice her Sharpshooter's Mantle (+10% missile dmg), but I'm wondering if it's worth it.
