I'm downloading the Geneforge games from Steam right now. I can't pass up that deal. A 5 game set for $16.00 US. I own a copy of Avadon and I like that one a lot. That hooked me to Spiderweb.

I'm a new player and am having blue ore problems and appreciate this thread. I have a question about blue ore but am hesitant about asking it seeing that this is an old thread.:-) Oboy.

I'm over 14 hours into the game and to me Avadon hits the sweet spot of rpgs. It reminds me of the older titles without the graph paper for mapping and tons of handwritten notes all over the place. I'm hooked, that's for sure.

I like Steam a lot. I didn't think I would but I tried it out and am hooked. (Of course GOG gets my $$ also.) If it weren't for Steam I doubt I would even know about Avadon let alone buy a copy. And now I'm looking at other Spiderweb games and will get some of those as well.

I'm looking for games like Ultima or Wasteland and so I don't mind the old graphics. When I get done with Avadon I'll definitely look at those. Thanks.
