  1. Thanks for putting them on steam in such a low price! Bought!
  2. I sure hope the new Avernum will be on Steam.
  3. I played the first playthrough of Avadon on hard because many achievements require the hard difficulty. The game's quite easy until halfway through though. Other games I mostly play on normal for the first playthrough.
  4. Mine says I got 24 too. The only thing I can think of is that I missed two of them early in the game and came back to pick them up after hitting the level cap. Also, The XP gained from reading the codex was 5 or 3 or something, and not 50 XP as it should be. Or maybe it really is a bug. According to the achievements stats page on steam, 0.7% of all players have finished the game, none of them got this achievement.
  5. Hanvar's Council is in the first dungeon of the game, near the prisoner bound by magic. Svorgald is in a locked room of an envoy, in the basement of Avadon. Also, how many codex are there in total? I got 26, and that should be all of it, but the achievement didn't unlock. Is it a bug?

  7. 30-40 hours is the sweet spot for me.
  8. I come from steam to say that I'll buy the game immediately when it's available on steam if it's priced at $9.99. I think it's a good price point. People on steam usually have a huge backlog and/or are spoiled from all the sales that most of them will definitely not buy the game at $25. (me included) And as someone here pointed out, there are many classic RPGs such as KOTOR, the Infinity engine games, the old Fallout games, or the Troika games which are more popular and can be bought for far cheaper than Avadon. Releasing the game on steam for $25 is not giving the game the proper chance for the recognition it deserves.
