  1. Thanks for the effort, Earth Empires. As of right now i've regressed to replaying all my favorite BoE scenarios. <3 Alcritas, Measle, and Stareye.
  2. I've been a fan of Spiderweb since Exile 3. I've bought every single game they've made and beaten all of them at least once, some multiple times, and i know i am not alone in this. I'm hungry for more Spiderwebby action but i'm all Avernum'd out, my question is: what else is there? In this wide world we live in there must be similar fun to be had. I've played Eschalon one and two on advice received from this forum and i enjoyed them, so keep the advice coming! Any suggestions are welcome, thanks guys.

(That was always fun though) Heh, you know i never thought of it that way. I think it's a cool idea to have PCs with actual personalities for a change, it'll be kinda like the beginning of... G2? or was it G3? Anyway, the one with greta and alwan.
  4. What's your strat for dealing with the massive chitrach waves of A4-6?
  5. Interesting... thanks for the tip. Still, you can't fight all your battles in tunnels and corridors, so i think it'd make sense to have an additional ability to draw fire to the sponges.
  6. If i may make a very humble gameplay suggestion: give one of the classes a taunt ability that makes the enemies focus on them. One of the most annoying things about the AI is the fact that after i position my tanks in the front and squishies in the rear the monsters usually go straight for the spellcasters. Kinda hard to have a tank perform their duty when the monsters ignore them.
  7. I'd probably track down everyone else i could find with these powers and either try to recruit them or kill them. In the real world i'd be satisfied with a little self sufficient power base somewhere. Who needs to be a world power when you have everything you could ever want and enough muscle to keep it?
  8. So... wow. Totally agree that Basilisk Engine+Spiderweb story would be incredible. As to the plot diversity in Spiderweb games, i've always thought that while they share similar elements and objective driven stories the objectives themselves tend to differ (greatly) to fit the context of the plot.
  9. Good point, i remember with Blades of Exile huge fights got a little crazy. You could always add an option to speed up the game during combat though.

I'm just saying that it would be nice to see more elaborate sword swings and spell casting, it's not a request and i'm not demanding anything, if anything it's a humble suggestion.
  11. So this is a new game and at least a partially new engine. You know what i've always wanted to see in a spiderweb game? Overly dramatic, fluid battle animations. I can understand why we haven't seen this so far and what we have does get the point across, but in my mind there's a big difference between a half hearted swipe with a dagger and a huge overhead sword swing. Am i alone in my shallowness?
  12. So am i missing something here? What new screenshots?
  13. I love you Randomizer. Have my babies.
  14. Avadon looks fun, i hope that Jeff takes this opportunity to step away from his past games in gameplay as well as in story. I think it'd be fun seeing something new. On an unrelated note: i've been playing Spiderweb games since Exile 3 and my personal favorite of Jeff's games is Avernum 3. The scope, story, and gameplay just left me breathless and i played it over and over again.
  15. Lil off topic here, but sighing mountain was a BoE scenario with a plot loosely based on Japanese mythology. I actually quite enjoyed it back in the day, the only criticism i can think of was that it didn't use any custom graphics and, as a result, many of the monsters had inappropriate images!
