  2. Well, I have noticed that the last few greetings had some variance among them, some mentioned fluffy turtles, some didn't, etc...
  3. I guess this is spot the missing pokemon game, although I only noticed the dikachu and the harehaunter, so I can't really help. Anyone else has a clue? I always suspected that Jenny and Joy were also some kind of pekomon given how similar they look and how many of them there are. Which makes the last avatar of team rocket dressed as Jennies the missing nineteenth pokemon
  4. Happened to me several times (always use FF) both towards all read and unread. I think it has something to do with the fact that I have my settings on clear cookies on exit. Sometimes when I leave and comeback it corrects itself, then again it could just be that because I only enter the forums that interest me I don't notice that the rest of the threads remain unread. Amd in case you haven't noticed at the bottom of all pages there's a button that marks all posts across the board (all forums and subforums) as read.
  5. Yeah, only alorel, slarty and diki are allowed to do that XD
  6. After you finish the final test, what do you need to do in order to maintain the level of physique you have reached? Do you need to repeat week 6 every week for the rest of your life?
  7. heh, look what I found http://www.spiderwebforums.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=20;t=000175
  8. We were 8 people, we were given a page with a list of items. We were told we were going on a trip through a reality show without knowing where, and were told to each pick 4 items and add another item of our own. Then we got 5 minutes to choose 5 items acceptable on everyone from the 8 lists we made. At the end we were told we get a break while they determine who will remain and who will go home. 5 remained for personal interviews and exams and 3 (including me ) were told to go home and that maybe, (not likely) they will call us again for a different role in the company. No explanation on what or why we are sent home, because god forbid if we actually learn something from the experience (and the usual law suit phobia)
  9. thanks cairo, I appreciate it
  10. I just failed another job interview for a good position, Life's a garden, dig it. What do you think?
  11. Yeah, The higher standard for death nowadays is brain death which is yet un-undoable. Which raises an interesting question, you hear in many places that the entire human body replaces itself (meaning every cell in it) every 7 years (not at once, but rather over that period of time). If that's true how do brain cells replicate their current connections and chemical setup(by setup I mean the type of chemical that represents the type of memory or function of that neuron)? Another thing is cartilage, FWIK the reason people have so many knee problems is because it doesn't grow it only erodes under stress. And one more thing is, if a man is injured to a state of brain death, but his family is wealthy enough (or insured enough) so that they can keep him resuscitated for a period of time longer than the injurer's trial, then a year after the trial is over they decide to pull the plug, will the injurer be retried for murder?
  12. You'll have to be more specific than that, which game are you referring to (4,5 or 6) and in which zone/city is this blue guy? As for 1: try entering combat mode before rushing him, I don't remember if this works in A4 but I believe it does work in A5-6. If I'm right at the end of your guy's turn the speech will start and when you end it he will turn hostile and you'll be able to hit him (although he might still throw the first punch, you'll be closer to him and might be able to slow his retreat). As for 2: If you don't have the priest spell protecting from mind effects try getting your main fighters ivory rings and wait for second round before casting offensive spells with your casters. Unleeeeess you're referring to Gladwell in A5 or 6, in which case you're screwed. Just give up for now and try returning when you have more levels.
  13. topic drift: BMA is your loc sanskrit for India?
  14. If only I looked as cute as dustpuppy when I and not like a deranged psychopath
  15. Do you know of any nuclear explosive tests anywhere, that would be the least painful method, instant evaporation
  16. I would rather go as painlessly as possible, thank you very much

If an average of about 1 in 200 deaths are caused by homicide over the course of your lifetime, then your chance of dying of homicide is about 1 in 200. (And of course, if the murder rate does decrease, that only proves Slarty's point: something needs to change.) You make it sound more dangerous than it is. It's not your chances of dying of homicide but rather if you are at the moment dying then there's a 1 in 200 chance that you have been murdered. plus this: Originally Posted By: Miramor And our society does take most of the blame, IMO, because it is a cannibalistic society. The tantalum capacitors were made from minerals mined in Congo, and each counts for several rapes and murders. The machine I'm typing this on is responsible for quite a lot of death and misery, and by extension so am I. If you're reading this, so are you. With such complete lack of caring drilled into us from day one, is it any wonder that a few of us take it a step further? I mean just take a look at the saw series, a world that makes blockbusters from such a depiction of gruesome deaths 6 times really shows that it has cauterized itself. With all due respect to the deceased, 12 deaths is nothing when compared to the amount of deaths in africa, india, china, n. korea, latin america and the different clan wars in the "stans". In places calling themselves the first world if you kill someone unimportant you get punished while in the nations I listed above you will not even be persecuted (e.g. I've heard from someone who's been to India and was in a taxi at the time. A driver next to him was honking at another driver in front of him, the driver in front without a sound got out of his car with a knife, went to the honking driver, stabbed him, calmly went back to his car and kept on driving). And how many unreported murders perpetrated by different crime syndicates happen? It's a jaded world, and in a jaded world jaded things happen.
  19. shouldn't this be combined with sit ups?
  20. Are you referring here to athletes or hillbillies?

  22. I was under the impression he got life without chance of parole. So if there was an option of bringing him in front of a parole board, you would have voted for that?
  23. So where would you put the subject of the role of prisons as correction/rehabilitation facilities vs. punitive facilities?

I myself was not in agreement, but it shows what other people are thinking
