Do the clones know that their goal is to stall and get the player eliminated? or will they go all out on offense and try to win?

One of the tips that comes up says something about playing without killing. I've only seen it once. I was wondering how far you can take that. Do you have to run from everything? Do you have to get bodyguards to do your dirty work? Do you have to bless, heal, etc. the bodyguards? Is that any different from having creations do all the killing? Will the difficulty level effect this play style? Can you play without ever picking up a weapon?(I think it's required on tutorial area) I'm just wondering how hard I have to try to make it work. I've seen alternate paths and stealth areas, but I don't know if the challenge to find ALL of them will be worth it for me. Also, if the best possible route is standing in the middle of a bloodbath acting as meat-shield, I don't want to waste time looking for a peaceful one that doesn't exist. I appreciate the help.

On my system (GMA X3000) the demo appeared to play fine until I opened a certain window (equip the knife I believe) at that point it nearly froze up. The mouse would move every 2 secs or so and wouldn't register clicks. Now I can't get to that point since other windows have the same trouble. Most importantly, the preferences window. I am unable to change video resolution (or settings) because I can't use the mouse in that window. Is there any other way I can try this new version?
