  2. I'm the owner of the latest MacBook Pro (version 5.1) and I am experiencing some weird behaviour when using the touchpad to control Geneforge 5. A lot of interface elements and commands need a double tap to trigger but not consistently as sometime a single tap will suffice. Constantly double tapping (which is akin to a double click with a regular mouse) is somewhat tiring after some time so I would like to ask if it is possible to alter this behaviour or if alternatively a future version of Geneforge 5 will fix this issue.
  3. When trying to launch the game in fullscreen 1280x800 the screen becomes black and then the applications crashes. Here is the error report I got from OS X: http://pastebin.com/m76f9fc31 I'm running a fully patched Mac OX X 10.5.5 which has been recently reinstalled so corruption is unlikely. Hardware specification: Model: MacBook 1.1 CPU: Intel Core Duo 2 GHz RAM: 2 GB Graphics: Intel GMA 950
  4. Well, in the meantime I managed to finish Geneforge 2. In the end it proved to be unnecessary to enter Zhass-Uss at all although it was possible from the north (from Shade Patrol) where the entrance was not mined. After entering the city I cleansed the city and deactivated the mines with some triggers. Anyway, thanks to all for all helpful hints. Now, on to Geneforge 3 :-)

Geneforge 1 had these spore sticks which triggered certain mines from a safe distance but so far I haven't found anything similar in part 2. To make it worse, the mines aren't triggered by creations either and my shaper is a weakling who can't survive a punch in the belly, much less an explosion which causes 140+ damage.

It's just that I was a little bit irritated because the Taker spies made it sound like you would get the chance to revoke former allegiances. 7. Hi all, I'm trying to enter Zhass-Uss but everyone is hostile there. This wouldn't be surprising as I'm allied with the Shapers back in Drypeak but the Taker spies I met earlier said that I could go to Zhass-Uss and reconsider former allegiances. Not sure how this is possible if everyone attacks me on sight. Have I missed anything or possibly offended some Takers?

  9. Hi all, I'm playing Geneforge 1 for the first time and I haven't been able to figure out if strength actually affects the damage done by a creature's ranged attack (e.g. fyora's spit) or if it only determines the melee damage. Some preliminary tests indicate that the former is indeed the case but so far I haven't been able to answer this question satisfactorily.
