  1. what about in the cult of the sacred item in A3 the book of "The way of the sacred item" the memorial hall with epitaphs that said like: "Excuses to Johnsan, who accidentaly teleported into solid rock. We apologize sincerely." same dungeon, entrance to teleportation room: "Teleport Room. Please fill out your will before proceeding."
  2. Hi I installed Gamebooster and also I tested the game in another PC with 4 gb RAM, 128 mb Integrated Video card, and a "whooping" 1.4 GHz celeron... which I think is the reason that it still runs kinda slow.... WHY JEFF? Why did you erase the MEGA FAST speed you achieved in Avernum 3??? I remember these "Empire-gates" with 3 dervishes, 15 bladesman, 8 elite soldiers and 1 Wizard, and casting 3 Divine retribution and 2 Cloud of blades and eliminating all units in only a minute, yet in this game you take 5 minutes to take 3 "scrawny" nephilims?
  3. Hi - I have a very crappy computer and the game, especially the fights, are kinda slow.. I'm used to the fast pace of older Avernums, especially Avernum 3 where in 10 seconds a Divine Retribution and a Fireblast could wipe off half of the enemies... however in this I got to the first fight with the scrawny nephilims and it seems to take forever, particularly when my guys hit one and the number of damage looks like it's floating up - that annoys me very much. Any ways to speed it up?
  4. forgot the fact that there are arrows of light to hurt demons (hint hint, serves a lot at the end of A2) and bolts of life to hurt undeads (pesky lichs)
  5. and where are these hidden brigands? i have looked everywhere and i haven't found them yet
  6. hey, could someone tell me if these ports were finished?? or latest versions at least? (i like how BoA resembles avernum 3 in the way that everything is faster when u enable sound..) Thanks in advanse!!
  7. Hey, today I load my A2 game and to my surprise all the Outdoors Area Automap are erased.... the Town Maps are all good, but the Outdoor maps appear as "undiscovered" even though it shows, for example, features like forts, lakes, trees etc.... How can i fix it? It shows like this for example:
  8. 1) how can i delete them without doing it manually? 2) why are they saved at documents and seting? (this goes for all avearnums)
  9. Thanks In a side note, I like these hints of racism that some options show us in dialogue when we are playing the "merciless Avernum soldier", like "Step aside, ogre, or I will puncture you." "Oh, just die, madman" All these options always followed by an (Attack) and accompanied by a perjorative adjective, hehehe oh, I remember so many of thesae options, but I can't recall these.. I like em!
  10. it say i need rotten meat to lure them from the river weest of spire and bargain, but which item do i exactly need? - Thancks in advance
  11. i kill melanchion when he's going to scourge lair to melt the gate for me? i thought about it as a good opportunity to kill him, as he is alone and doesnt have guards all around him.. has anyone tried it before?
  12. wasn't that dancing bones house, the former house of some crazzy guy who wanted to take vengeance on everyone that pretended his daughter's hand?? and, how did it came to be that they became undead..?
  13. indeed, the encounter that triggers the appearing of Demontamer is an encounter tete-a-tete with manburner.. so if u killed it, u are f******
  14. don't say you weren't warned Anyways, you should always keep a keen eye to those little messages that pop up. Most of the times they are just descriptions of the surroundings or fancy writing, but sometimes it's helpful, like at this situation
  15. And an old sound that has remained since Exile: Escape From The Pit (the really really old version) is that one of those plants that throw needles to you... Submission Fungus, thats the name; that's the very sound of, I remember, at Exile 1 when the Brigands or Soldiers threw crossbows at you
  16. Thought about the same thing for the delay between you arrive to the pylon and you can actually move. But remember that what's happening is that you are being re-formed, particle by particle, to the new pylon, and you have to give it time to fully form yourself. You don't want to take an step while your arm hasn't completelly formed (which remembers me of A3 strange cult that had a memorial, and one said "To Sara, who accidentally teleported on solid rock")
  17. noo.. the best sound ever is that one of when you kill a demon.. sounds like a "Ouurghhhh" followed by a nasal balloon deflating.. so epic and I remember from Exile 1, the sound when all your guys died, it was a big "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!" I also like the sound when I crush some brigand or cultist, like bones shattering.. pretty satisfactory
  18. nope, because the potion eventually fades away, and they won't let me aafight because that they stun me and they make me lose my turns
  19. hey, i'm at the middle and had to get near the 4th ward to check 'em all, now those damn quickghasts won't let me out alive, they are way too strong, i'm even using invulnerability potions but they still kill me, even at Casual difficulty... WHAT CAN I DO?
