  1. True. Beware of the shrinking cavequakes!
  2. Apparently the area I am trapped in are those scree caves near Fort Emerald and Fort Saffron
  3. I am trapped between that part of the caves that are between Fort Saffron and Fort Emerald, the one where you can find that Crystal Box. After I left the Darkside Loyalists tunnels and explored a bit, I returned to the tunnels only to see the gates has been closed, and Fort Emerald barriers are to strong to be dispelled. So what am I to do?
  4. If you want romance...take a look at Dragon Age: Origins....it gives more than just basic romance...
  5. Well. Baldurs Gate is rather old, yet it rocks.
  6. Mmm, how about a classic like Baldurs gate?
  7. Which do you think is the best to aid? I am trying to be more of a good guy. I think muck perhaps, since Highground is trying to get a struggling town to be attacked by giants and is stealing claims....
  8. Good thing the newer games Jeff made fits better on wide screens.
  9. Welp, I am playing it over again and this time exploring more areas. While en route to Gladwells place to assasinate him, I run into another one of those shades who warns me and informs me. I just want to know, does killing them influence you badly with the Vahnatai? Since it seems like they were left behind by the Vahnatai.(The razordisks in areas like that helps alot).
  10. Mystic. The problem is if I say that it shouldn't change the resolution, then A4 says that it can only run in 800x600 pixels and 16 bit. And if I let it run like that, then the game looks ugly and hurts my eyes.
  11. It works with A1-A3. THankd Yoba. Just bothered by the large black spaces around the play screen. Heh Still, any idea of how to get A4 working right?
  12. I do not know how to do it with A1-A3. And When I did it with A4. It gave a warnign message which said that A4 can only run in 16t bit and 800x600 pixels.
  13. Ohya, I forgot about that one. Noticed it aswell.
  14. Well. Basicly this problem is now with Avernum 4 and the games that game before it(both geneforge and avernum). Basicly I got a new 18 or 19 inch LSD monitor with my new computer. It is actually rather wide. Also my graphics card can go to 1600x900 pixels. And I have to set it to that to make the stuff on the monitor look good, otherwise everything looks ugly. Basicly the earlier games gets streched out off proportion in such a way I can not stand to play the game, since it hurts my eyes a bit. THe newer games, (Geneforge 4 and up) does not have this problem since they are more compatible.
  15. I still don't understand how places magically moved closer and farther away from eachother between A1 and A6. And also how some places disappeared and re-appeared. 1. In A1 (And A2 I think aswell) Blosk and Dharmon was not merely few meters away from eachother and they were also not directly across eachother, they were a bit away from eachother as can be seen on A1's map. In A6 they are directly across form eachother. Barely a few ssteps away. 2. What happend to the ruins of Grah-Hoth's(forgive my spelling, forgot name a bit) fotress at the lava? It is seemingly gone. 3. How did that great lake(the huge watermass south of Cotra) shrink so much between A1 and A6? 4. What happend to that maze-like river area in A1? In A4 a similar place does show up in the map in its spot, but it is not nearly the same. 5. In A6 and A4 there seems to be alot less tunnels in certain areas than there was in A1 and A2. Take Motrax's caves from example. 6. In A6 Erika's tower seems severely smaller in size than in A1 and A2. And there is no rubbel outside really to indicate that parts of it were crumbled and fell apart. 7. In A6 Fort Duvno seems to have moved farther North, and strangely Silvar has moved directly South of Fort Duvno, unlike in A1 and A2. 8. Fort Franlon has moved south in A6, to the middle of the area. Whereass in A1 and A2 it was alot closer to the top of that area next to the river. I shall edit this later to insert more changes.
  16. I still say the Vahnatai are the remnants of the Shapers. And Avernum takes place far in the future. (I made a lame topix suggesting that years ago)
  17. That is indeed true, though I doubt they exist on the same world. There is a possibility, but I doubt that.
  18. usually a great civilization/empire would feel threatened by one nearly matching it or even matching it. But they would be in awe if their own civilization was far lesser. I believe the Sholai was on the same level as the Shapers.(Except ofcourse no mass creations.)
  19. True that. Especially the ability to get past shaper defenses. Edit: Also if we take in consideration that the seas were to rough for the shapers to get to the Sholai lands, yet the Sholai were able to get to Shaper lands.
