  1. There's no set processing time. It depends how busy Spiderweb is, how many other orders they've received, when they decide to check their email, and the alignment of the stars. You could already have your registration code emailed by the time I posted this, or it could take a week. Usually you'll get your codes in a day or two. —Alorael, who would expect this to be a quick order. There are no new games and no urgent deadlines, so you can expect your codes shortly.
  2. I've had the boards turn my password into a random string once, but you're probably safest changing your password again even if it doesn't look like someone deliberately changed it. —Alorael, who would put it down to the UBB being UBBish unless the new password was obviously created by a person.
  3. See a virtually identical topic here . —Alorael, who recommends against posting the same topic in two places. It really isn't necessary.
  4. Actually, it may take a little bit longer if they don't get your codes mailed today. I think Spiderweb takes the weekend off. Still, you should get your codes pretty fast. —Alorael, who has had his own registration codes take anywhere from a few hours to four days. Those four days, incidentally, were also a Friday registration.
  5. They're in the inn in Vanarium, just like the Roman NPC's who join you. To reach Vanarium, go west across the bridge near the Ruined Hall and follow the signs. I think the town is to the northwest. —Alorael, who thought it was interesting that Brigid, who is supposed to be another Celt, is able to wear armor like a Roman. The Celtic NPC the Romans can pick up is also armor-compatible. Perhaps the more cosmopolitan clans all live to the west?
  6. RoR doesn't quite have 800 posts, and she created her new account in May. That's a perfectly reasonable rate of about three posts per day. —Alorael, who denies all allegations of spamming on the mod board to inflate his post count. He would not do such a thing, of course. Not even in the Krazy Kwilting Korner.
  7. There's still no word from Spiderweb on that. You can assume we'll be without Misc. for an indefinite but very long time. —Alorael, who wishes he had better news about it. Actually, Spidweb has been pretty quiet for a while, so it's possible to hope that they are having heated debates about whether or not to revive Misc. It's doubtful, but it's possible.
  8. And the URL button reappeared, and the windows became narrower, and it's no longer possible to see the mods from the boards' main page. —Alorael, who recommends looking at this topic to discuss it (or complain).
  9. Actually, it belonged to Exile_Master, and it was just deleted yesterday. —Alorael, who also thought it was RoR's account until he realized that the account number is lower than his own. Since RoR came later, it couldn't be hers.
  10. Corrupted profile messages appear periodically. Usually they don't mean anything, but they are related to the account deletion bug. If you try to look at the profile of member 332 (I think), you'll find that it no longer exists. (E;dit, pun.ctuation?:} —Alorael, who doesn't feel like verifying the actual number that corresponds with account 00000331. It's somewhere around that number.
  11. Try gaining a few levels and giving yourself 15000 coins with the character editor. Then go to the trainer. If there are still no arrows, all I can suggest is trying to redownload the game. —Alorael, who thinks it sounds a little bit like you're trying to increase skills at the trainer with gold or anywhere with skill points. To train, you need to have both gold and skill points, and you must be at the trainer.
  12. The teleportation is supposed to happen. My guess is that the way spending the night in an inn involves teleportation of your party, the horse message either gets called by both or was accidentally used identically in both places. As long as it doesn't actually cause game problems, it's probably okay. —Alorael, who would even say it's convenient to have your horses spare you the effort of walking back into the hermits house to say the right thing.
  13. No, TGM isn't banned. His account was deleted by an error in the boards. —Alorael, who thinks that out of everyone discussed here, only SM had his account banned. He had his IP banned too.
  14. Banned accounts aren't deleted, and in fact SM's account may not be banned; his IP was banned, preventing him from logging onto any account, so there is no reason for his account to be shut down as well. —Alorael, who believes the only deleted accounts are those few that were deleted by board errors.
  15. I think Yadotian spy is thinking of A3. Fenris Port doesn't exist in Nethergate, nor do Energy Elixirs or Rogue's Elixirs. As far as I can tell, there is no recipe for Healing Elixir. The closest thing to that that you can create through potion making is the Restoring Elixir. The recipe can be either purchased in Vanarium or found in one of the libraries under the Celtic Temple of Brigantia. [Edit: I think Healing Elixirs can be created by using the Create Elixir spell, also found underneath the Temple.] —Alorael, who must once again attribute the answer to Zeviz\'s Nethergate Guide . Try looking through it before asking here; chances are it has the answers you need.
  16. The end of A3 doesn't let you continue for several reasons. First of all, it gives a nice finality to the game. Second, it would be extra and unnecessary work for Jeff to program more responses and things for people after you've defeated the vahnatai. I don't know what fort you mean, but Blackcrag cannot be fully explored. There are some secret passages that let you into a few more areas, most notably a blacksmith's shop, but you never get the run of the fortress. You can also never get past Blackcrag and out of Valorim. —Alorael, who answers only because Jeff is unlikely to. He spends his time programming games and dealing with his daughter, not visiting these forums.
  17. I don't know what it is, but I received the same error several days ago. I didn't think much of it, but it's still there for me as well. I've rated enough members that my full list of ratings is a separate page. When I click the link to that list, I get the same error. I guess we should contact Infopop about this error, but in the mean time there's only one solution I can think of. Find people you feel somewhat strongly about and rate them until your ratings go onto a separate page. Then you'll at least be able to see your private messages. —Alorael, who wonders if this has anything to do with the periodic account deletion bugs. The error is slightly different, but it's still a corrupt profile.
  18. The message that you get is the generic victory message. You may have found everything, although chances are you didn't. The choices are just the same ones you get if you get killed. If you want to get back to Valorim, you need to backtrack through the Great Walls, Crumbling Factory, and Keep of Tinraya. In this case, using the editor to return your party to Fort Emergence isn't such a terrible cheaters method, either. —Alorael, who found it much nicer returning from the vahnatai lands than he did getting to them. When all the enemies are already dead and you have all the necessary keys your life is much, much easier.
  19. I think saved games only work on the operating system they were created on. —Alorael, who also remembers some odd problems with savefile corruption on transfer. That may only be via internet, though.
  20. No, I meant effect. We come from ashes and dust. I can't think of anything much grimier than that. —Alorael, who is never wrong. Even when he is blatantly wrong, he's still right, even if he has to twist grammar and definitions to get it to work.
  21. Dingy is Schrodinger. I'm sure there's a good explanation for this, but I don't know why. —Alorael, who guesses that grime can even effect the best of us.
  22. Thank you, thank you. Next time, keep the praise and give money. —Alorael, who does not love Alec. Alec is evil and deserves to die. With short, choppy, fragment sentences. lol.
  23. <font size=0.1>There is such a thing as too much HTML.<font size=2> —Alorael, who does not approve at all. Especially when he cannot several posts because Desperance seems to have sprouted up...
  24. I would say that I use war the most, with health a close second, but craft spells are extremely useful. When playing as Romans with no spells whatsoever, it was the Craft Circle spells I missed most keenly. —Alorael, who likes Beast Circle the least. It includes the most summoning, and summoning is utterly useless.
  25. Playing as Romans is somewhat frustrating. No matter what great quest you complete, the Celts are always one step ahead. It keeps the two sides of the plot balanced, but it's irritating. —Alorael, who also detests lacking any magical illumination until reaching Vanarium. He reflexively ignores torches, candles, and lanterns from playing as Celts (and from playing Exile and Avernum), only to discover himself lost in the dark.
