Does anyone know if it's a midnight release? Or during the day tomorrow?

Clear your calendars! Just got an email from the mailing list that the release date is Wednesday, January 31.

I never played on tablets, but at least the way I used the controls on the computer, I don't think gameplay would be that conducive to a tablet.

This is the closest thing to a hype thread, so reviving it. I am very much so looking forward to Avernum 3. Does anyone have any info on more exactly when we might expect it? The Steam page had a specific date at one point, but now just says "Early 2018."

Hooray, it's happening! The graphics in the intro to that video brought me back ... I remember very similar visuals in Exile III.

Haha, I thought I was the only one. I happened to start with Exile III and couldn't ever play the first two. Geez, that's a long time from now. On the plus side, it gives me some time to try to forget the storyline so that I can experience it as if it were new.

I feel the same way on games. Exile 3 was also my intro. I took a long time off before playing the new Avernum 1 and later 2. Anxiously awaiting the remake of 3.

I'm in a similar situation (played Exile III as a kid and now these two new remakes). I'm just happy it will be a couple years before there's another big timesink like this.

For me it's rocks. I don't think I ever sold any gold or fine steel either.

For me, the eyebeast in the corner of Cotra was the biggest challenge of the game. Garzahd was hardly dealing any damage for the first little while, but then all of a sudden used Arcane Blow and one-shotted one of my characters. It was unexpected but he was at maybe 10% health so I was able to finish him off.

Ugh, I remember this. So very frustrating to the elementary-school me.

D'oh! I just reset all my boats with Shift+D and "resetboats" ... does using that code affect anything else in the game (besides boats)?

Thanks for the guidance. Once I realized that it was way easier to fight than to try to run around the outside, I got through without a problem.
