Thank you for your reply,actually my mistake was to try to destroy the barrier but using the level 1 spell. Now I know that it takes at least level 2 to be able to destroy without problems.

hello In Avernum 1, I must find a Gold Key, I have already talked to Rone in the Castle and now I'm in Patrick's tower.
