Curious Artila ged
When I take the portal to Avadon from Fort Foresight, then re-enter the portal to return, it brings me to the portal in Zhethron's Lair. I actually didn't realize it till I got into a tussle at Velusa's Temple and realized I had no companions. On a side note, has the version been updated or is v1.0 still the latest? Hatchling Cockatrice Slawbug
1.0 is still the latest. It sounds like this is going to be fixed in 1.0.1, which many of us are eagerly waiting for
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
The portal from Avadon to Zhethron's Keep is not going to change because of the way the game defines movement between maps. These are one to one transitions like going inside a building or using ladders and stairs.
Hatchling Cockatrice Slawbug
I'm skeptical, unless "exitstairs.txt" is an artifact that is no longer used. Couldn't you just attach the portal object to a different, nearly-identical script that checks an SDF and alters its destination depending on the SDF? Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
I'm pretty sure that portals are hard coded into the map. Jeff originally had the Fort Foresight portal only accessible at the very end. He could have it go to another Avadon portal if he wanted it to. During beta testing some of the stairs didn't go where you would expect. The games usually have one or two that go to completely wrong outdoor map locations. Hatchling Cockatrice Slawbug
They're an object. I'll put money they use an object script, because there don't seem to be any exceptions to that rule. The cell values are hardcoded, sure, but that isn't an obstacle when you're the developer
