Seasoned Roamer Fatman
I'm about 30 minutes in the game and a Lord Svarl gave me a mission to hand a message to Redbeard. I handed Redbeard the message and he was furious and said I only get one warning and I have just wasted it. I'm curious if this has any long term consequences later in the game and if this one warning can be used elsewhere.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
No, you used up your one chance. From now on it's off to the Avsdon Dungeons for you if you are lucky. I'm not sure if the warning could be used elsewhere, but at least now you can get more missions from Lord Svarl.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
Can I kill both Deathskull and Gankrong and get Svarl's 2nd quest or do I have to choose (itemwise DS's death is better but reward is prolly wearable only by blademaster)? Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
You kill only one and then report it.
Seasoned Roamer Doggie
But what about the second quest if you kill Deathskull? Or is that obvious?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
The second part comes after the Arena of the Warborn and doesn't care which one is killed in first part.
Fledgling Fyora Moridin
The second part comes after the Arena of the Warborn and doesn't care which one is killed in first part. I'm not able to complete this quest. I cleared the arena pit (?) first, got a message in there that this place might be useful for someone (the dragon came in mind) and later talked to Svarl again. He gave me the quest, but there is no dialog option to complete the quest. I revisited the arena pit, but nothing happened, Svarl still has no other dialog options. Anything I could try? Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
There was a rubble blocked off trapdoor in the northeast corner that is where you go.
Fledgling Fyora Moridin
Thanks - after Zhetron moved to the arena pit I rechecked the whole map and discovered it.

In my first ever game I was so frightened for my character from Redbeards response that I reloaded and did not take Svarls letter. Only much later I read that one of the best weapons at the start of the game (Emerald Saber) is the reward for delivering the letter EVEN IF REDBEARD THROWS IT AWAY. Lord Svarl rewards the attempt to deliver the letter with one of the best rewards at the start of the game... I even used enchantment balls on a bought Steel Broadsword, never knowing how far better the Emerald Saber is... 🥲 Well, in my current playthrough I did get the saber and risked Redbeards wrath and it did not change anything.
