Seasoned Roamer Aleric
I decided to go ahead and fire up A2:CS since it's been in my steam library for a while. I started a new game...my "first" play through, on torment. This has been a blast. I'm sitting around level 9 and I'm not sure what else I could realistically do in the beginning area. I don't have the 11 priest skill for sanctification yet, the drake in the back of the lizard lair is a no-go, sliths are....time consuming, that ogre group is still a little too tough, and that bandit group above Motrax's lair can wipe 2 of my PCs before I get a turn. So...am I good to leave things they way they are and head down the rapids or should I keep plugging away here trying to level some more? Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
First check that you didn't miss anything that could push you up that extra level. The hidden area in Solberg's Tower, picking off a few sliths and retreating isn't a bad option, sending a summoned monster in to fight occupy the drake while the rest use long range attacks. Torment makes it harder to get through the things you mention just because they can wipe you out so quickly. A few things like the ogres are things I skipped on torment. The bandits I got at level 10 when I was finally able to go ahead of them.
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
If you do absolutely everything in the demo area you'll probably end up at level 10, but you don't have to make yourself sweat blood for the sake of one more level. At level 9 you should be okay to begin the next part of the game if you want to.
Seasoned Roamer Aleric
I finally got the bandit group done, picked off as many sliths in that fort as I could (the boss is for another day), the drake is....still annoying because a random breath attack means trouble. Conquered the ogre quest, but not the ogre camp the shade wants you to revenge. So I decided to go ahead and take the tunnel. At Dahris-Bok now. Seasoned Roamer Aleric
I thought I'd never get past the spell weaver in Fort Dolthar. Hitting one of my mage/priests for 250+ while ward of elements and protection are both up was ruining my day.
