Fledgling Fyora Spacey_CCA
Okay. Here we go with a dilettante question. I can't figure out how to delete a character in Crystal Souls. If I want to play a singleton or duo, what's the process?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
On the character creation screen showing the four characters, each one at the bottom has a choice of delete to remove that character. You will get a prompt to make sure you do want to delete that character. You can also do it later in the game by clicking on the icon near the bottom that looks like 4 different colored bottles. Fledgling Fyora Spacey_CCA
Derf! Thanks, I completely forgot about the icon. Been playing long enough that I don't see things any more.
Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
You can reverse the process as well, i.e. you can add one to three characters along the way if you start playing as singleton.

Garrulous Glaahk Brainless Void
who all start out at level 1 so it might not make sense to add people once you start moving around Well, you could use them as baggage carriers or expendable meat shields if you dont consider it cheating when playing singleton. Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
Baggage carriers aren't really necessary since the invention of the junk bag, but I've done that in BoA - cleared a dungeon, then "hired" 3 "porters" to help me fetch the loot back. In BoA, you could only add characters in major cities, so it was not really abusable.

So reading your answer the little devil on my shoulder said "Derf! RTFM already" Bad devil!! Bad devil!
Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
Well, it makes the game more interesting to me. I tried this method in both Avernum games. I had parties originally made of one character which became three through the game and finished it. Characters were of different experience levels, so I had to adapt strategy and tactic to circumstances. Surviving becomes a bit harder, as harder is to manage the party. It is fun.
