I keep killing crowds in the east hall by the closed portcullis and more keep appearing right when I try to wander off to loot rooms. Is this normal? Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer Posted February 16, 2015 Share Posted February 16, 2015 Yes, more spawn start appearing from west of where you first appear and in the east corridor just north of the southeast rooms. Then in the west large room there is another spawning point in the northwest. It's hard to loot on harder than normal difficulty because it takes so long to kill them and free up the area to explore. You need to keep in battle frenzy mode all the time and push through the corridors. Welcome to Spiderweb Software. Please leave your sanity at the door. It will be returned once you defeat Hawthorne. Will I be able to loot later, or is there anything I should get on the first pass? I have all five brooches, if that makes a difference. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer Posted February 16, 2015 Share Posted February 16, 2015 I looted on normal and you can look here for the list of items and where they are in the Royal Spire. Basically the best loot is in the northeastern room if you have tool use of 14 and can dispel a level 3 barrier. You don't get to go back because you face unending swarms.
