2 questions about A5

I have two questions regarding Avernum 5:

1. I can't find the 3rd Tobias mine site. I've wandered the area repeatedly and done pretty much everything else.

2. There are doors that say a spell is needed to open. What spell is that and how do I get it? My priest is level 12 and the mage is 13.

It's been long enough since I played that I can't help you with the first one, but the spell is Unlock Doors and it's a mage spell. You can buy it from Lark in New Harston.

1. The third site is farther to the north east from the first two outside the other town that I can't remember the name.

2. Piercing crystals will also remove the magic spell part in case you want to go all priests.

Isn't it tinker's crystals that do that in A5?

Thanks for the tips about Tobias. . . I did stumble across the last one finally. I have tried piercing crystals with no success. I'll go back to Lark and see about buying unlock doors.
