Melliput Mobsters is now available on the Blades Forge or, if that's ever down, from here.

 

It's still not quite finished; the massive script that kept delaying it still does not work, but fortunately it's not essential to the scenario. There are about five little things I want to throw in, and I think there may be one or two bugs that may make it unfinishable in certain circumstances, but for the most part the scenario works without issue.

 

Please send any bug reports to me by PM. I'm sort of considering it a public beta even though it's in a fairly polished state.

 

Tags for the review forum: Avernum Universe*, Linear**, Short, and anything else the reviewers deem appropriate

 

*Though in a remote enough part that it might as well not be.

**It has some branching decisions, but it doesn't affect the basic outline.

Someone (Duck I think?) reported a bug in the ending which I think has been fixed in this version. I need to do a proper revision at some point (with the incidental stuff working and perhaps even with a bit more content), but hopefully this is sufficient for the contest.

What a coincidence; i was just playing this scenario and came over here to post a few queries.

 

Anyway,

 

There is a small glitch in the graphics (version 1.0.7 Windows). In the outdoors view, the middle city section has four (absent) shields surrounding it. Should we replace a graphics file with a custom one, or something like that?

 

Similar but small problems inside some of the shops too.

I was completely aware of 1 and 2... I lost the motivation to properly finish them. At least the essential parts of the scenario work. I'd like to go back and make the hotel and casino work as well, eventually.

I hadn't heard of any bugs in the dice game, but frankly, it doesn't surprise be that much. It's quite a complicated terrain script.

Not sure why that is... I think those graphics should be city wall graphics to match up with the rest of the city. I suppose maybe I added them at the last minute and forgot to re-export from GraphicConverter.
