Tenderfoot Thahd Kraven Kor
Have a character with like a "C" and 2 "+" signs in the status / effects list. But not able to figure out what it means. Any help would be appreciated.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Watch for messages at the bottom to see what is happening to your characters. You can scroll back through the message box. I don't remember all of them but a few are: blessed is + signs cursed is - signs hasted is 3 arrows one over the other poison is a green blob (this also is diseased in some games) webbed is a small spiderweb sleep is z's enfeebled is a yellow face (it looks similar to charmed) Welcome to Spiderweb Software. Please leave your sanity at the door. You won't mind being confused.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
It's all listed in the manual that comes with the game. —Alorael, who believes the original trilogy's instructions are all PDFs. The status legend isn't easy to find, but it's there.
Tenderfoot Thahd Kraven Kor
Yeah, haven't got the CD's yet, so no manual (that I can find.) And the F1 help menu doesn't work under Windows 7.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
It's part of the installation. For A3, at least, it's a PDF named "Avernum 3 Manual/Order Form" in the same folder as the program itself. I think the others are probably similar. Statuses are listed on page 26. —Alorael, who will just add, to save some time, that those pluses and the C mean the character is cursed. If they were gold and there were a B instead, it would be blessed. The other common symbols are a P in a green splotch for poisoned, a green blob for disease, a pink human with a single right arrow for slowed, and a yellow human with three arrows for hasted. The others aren't as common.
