Easygoing Eyebeast Enraged Slith
I swear, whenever I'm designing, I always have to turn the sound to nearly zero every time I want to test something. This is particularly annoying when I'm trying to listen to music in the background. The sound effects hurt my ears, and I can't take it anymore. Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Have you tried editing the in-game volume in the preferences?
Easygoing Eyebeast Enraged Slith
I wish I could. There are no volume options, from what I can see.
Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
I've had similar experiences with other games. So far, my best solution is to wear a set of headphones with its own built-in volume control. Originally Posted By: Enraged Slith There are no volume options, from what I can see. Magnificent Ornk nikki.
If you're using Windows Vista or 7 you can use the system's sound controls to set different levels for different programs. It might work in XP, but its been ages since I've used it. It does not work in Mac OS X Leopard, which is pretty shitty.

I could have sworn there were three options: On, Off, and Quiet. It's been a while, though.
Well-Actually War Trall Niemand
No, only on and off, unfortunately.
Garrulous Glaahk Dark Sniper
The On, Off and Quiet volume options are released from Avernum 4 till the end. Just to remind you.
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
Speed, please don't respond to topics that have been dead for over a year unless you have something super-relevant/new/exciting to add; I get super-excited to see activity in the BoA forum, and then get all disappointed when it's just stuff like this. My poor heart can't take it. Thanks.
Garrulous Glaahk Dark Sniper
Oh, I didn't see the date. Thanks anyway.

I saw there were about 20 new replies in the BoA forum since last I checked and after reading through them I found that none of them were actually anything exciting.
