Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
I voted E3. It's the only one I've beaten more than once.
Garrulous Glaahk Lord Iraelithe
Yeah, E3 is my favorite just bcuz it's on the surface, the caves get tiring after a while...
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
Why is there a time limit? And where's BoE? Whatever, I'll pick #2. It's hard to choose between that and #3, though.
Garrulous Glaahk Lord Iraelithe
I wanted it just to be the first 3, otherwise everyone would pick BoE, and it made me pick a time limit...
Well-Actually War Trall Omlette
It's a close call...the surface in E3 looks very pretty and all, but the story in E2 is that bit more engaging and that tips the balance for me, I think... -E-
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
E3. It was the first SW game and the first RPG I ever played.
Well-Actually War Trall Micawber
Hooray for E2! This all takes me back to 1990s
Curious Artila Sirath The Destroyer
E2!! I always wanted the full version )=.
Unflappable Drayk Toby-Linn
I picked E3 because that was the first Spiderweb Software game I played, it got me hooked in other words. Tried to play E1 and E2 fairly recently, but the nostalgia factor wasn't there and I didn't like the 2D.
Garrulous Glaahk Misc Staple
I voted for Exile 3. The large world to explore appealed to me more than the other two.
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
Indeed, Exile 2 was more linear, at least at the beginning. (I haven't gotten much further though. Actually, I haven't even gotten past the demo version in E2; only in A2.) But Exile 1 also had a large world to explore.
Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
Actually, all three have large worlds to explore, even in the demo.
Seasoned Roamer Hondero
I chose E2 because it has much of the same world as E1 -- same area for most of the Exile caves, but it seems "expanded" compared to E1, and it has different encounters -- and more, with all of the Vahnatai stuff at the beginning. I would love to try E1 because it has the same area with different dungeons and quests, but I just haven't been able to get into it. I am too used to the monsters and spell systems of E2 and E3, and E1 is very challenging because of that! But, one thing I do like about E1 and E2 are that magic items are few and far-between. So many games have weapons like "Sword of fire", "Axe of fire", etc. But in E1 and E2, every magic item is almost unique... I really like that. It's also neat how your party has to parcel out magic items like the Boots of Speed in E2 -- in any other game, you would probably be able to find six of a certain useful item and just give them to every character, but in E2, you have to really think about who you want to give those two pairs of boots. Garrulous Glaahk Misc Staple
Originally Posted By: The Mystic Actually, all three have large worlds to explore, even in the demo. Easygoing Eyebeast Enraged Slith
Exile 1 was the first RPG I ever played. I kept playing the first part of the demo and getting slaughtered. I quickly moved on to Exile 2, which instantly became my favorite since I could make Lizard and Cat people. I explored that demo for years before I finally purchased the game (thanks dad). I miss that time of my life.
Understated Ur-Drakon Callie
E3, it's the only Exile game I've purchased, and the first Spiderweb game I bought.
Fledgling Fyora Paragon
I would have to choose E2, as it is the only Exile game I have.
Fledgling Fyora Darknesse
Definitely E2. Though its a hard choice between that and E1. I haven't really liked E3 as much, since.. I've never really liked the empire. I always wanted a frontal assault
Garrulous Glaahk Cryolemon
Exile 2, I like the whole concept of the chapters and the Dark Waters chapter is epic.
Kyshakk Koan Sss-Chah
the only exile game i ever played was the second one...so that one.
Unflappable Drayk Zummi
E2. I spent hours and hours to try to figure out something to outsmart the Shareware Demon.

Garrulous Glaahk The Knight Who Said Ni
Well I this is hard. I spent the most time on the 3rd one so, that one. It's just addictive. E2 has a great plot though. -Ni.
Garrulous Glaahk The Knight Who Said Ni
Seems nobody is into Escape From The Pit. I loved that one. Battling demonic hordes, assassinating Hawthorne, great stuff.
Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
I like E1, but I admittedly don't play it that much; I find it too hard compared to the rest of the series. And as I said earlier, E3 is pretty much my favorite.
Curious Artila Jean-Philippe
Definetely Exile 2, the main plot was the best. I liked fighting the empire, if only because it was an endless source of XP and gold. Helping the Vanatai was nice too. It also was my first Exile game so I may be biased, but I found the plot superior to the one in Exile 3.
Ineffable Wingbolt Eldibs
Exile 2 for me as well. Exile 1's engine was too simplistic, and Exile 3's felt like it had been overcomplicated, where Exile 2 had a nice balance. Also, it was hard for me to look at all the bright colors in Exile 3, and Exile 1 was too grey.
Articulate Vlish FabledOne
Exile 2 is by far my favorite spiderweb game in all. The ability to be three different races, excellent story, playable but still challenging difficulty. It has it all.

Magnificent Ornk nikki.
Hey, numb wizard. First of all, welcome to Spiderweb; please leave your sanity at the door! Secondly, please don't revive threads that were last posted in nearly three years ago. If you want to discuss anything in threads that have long since been dead, feel free to start a new topic. Thanks. Edited December 6, 2012 by n/kki.. it is not without some irony that I post this, but eh
