You know something? Immediately after posting this question I decided to check the barrels in Pyrog's cave just in case. I swear I performed the spell before (truly I did) but Far Sight revealed a hidden passage and low and behold! Thank you anyway though! What was frustrating was that there was no way for me to track which ones I already had. I never took note of them when I found one.

So I just beat Avernum for the first time but I only had four (twitch) of the five brooches? I looked at the strategy guides online and know that there is: • One in Mortax's cave • One in the crypt outisde Mertis • One with Pyrog • One you have to pay for in Mertis • One with the friendly spiders So I revisited each place and "looked" at every corpse, every chest, everythwhere. Everything. Is there something I don't know? I assume that if I had found a brooch the game would tell me. Please help! I want the GOOD ending!
