Hi everyone at Spiderweb! Stupid me is again stuck with a stupid little problem and hoping to get help from you guys... I'm playing Avernum 3 for the fouth time and the second time with a single warrior-priest. Difficulty level is 'torment'. I completed the Troglo Mission for Sharimik, then headed for Lorelei to do the Giants part. I cleared out most of the Giants caverns (haven't got Dispel Barrier yet...) and found the Barrier Map all right. So, I headed east to destroy the barrier, but the entrance of the Barrier Cavern doesn't show up! What did I miss? Thanks for you help! Regards, Patrizia

Hi Randomizer Oh, I'm such a doofus - the scroll is in my inventory...!!! Stupid me! Thanks a lot for your answer! Last time I did the mission with a single character, it took me ages to move all the loot out - and I got tired of it after a while. This time, I have a second character stacked away in Fort Emergence (now in my luxury mansion in Lorelei... :-) with no other task than to move loot out of places. He isn't equipped with anything (so he goes actually naked - and noone ever said a thing!), but as he doesn't take part in missions and fights he will never be able to carry more than 200 lbs. However, he has proved useful - it takes a few moves less to empty an enemy castle... :-) See you soon, Patrizia

Hi everyone I'm playing Avernum 3 on 'torment' with a single Shaman Warrior. I played the game numerous times before with various teams or single warriors. Now I encountered the following problem: I entered Castle Troglo with the Sharimik scroll and was thrown into the cell as planned. But when I get information that I can see the King and am returned to the cell I haven't gitten any scroll to read (Troglo History)! Consequently, when I get to actually see the King, I can't say I have read the scroll and am not given the killing mission! Why might that be? Did I miss something? Thanks for your help! Hi everyone I got some very helpful answers to earlier questions of mine, so I hope someone can help me with this one, too. I'm playing Avernum 3 at 'torment' difficulty with a single warrior priestess. I got all through the game (with some help from you guys and dying a billion times on the way) and have now entered and raided Rentar-Ihrnos Keep. I then went to the four underground levels to turn on all the beams. I got through all the monsters and everything and found all the pedestals and pressed all the buttons - except one. This one is in the southeast corner of the northeast quarter of level 2 (so basically east on level 2). It's hidden behind a curtain - and there's a beam I can't cross . I tried everything: entering combat mode, trying to find a secret door, trying to destroy a wall, trying to find a button to turn off the beam... Nothing works! Does anybody knows what I'm supposed to do? Thanks a lot for your help! Regards, Patrizia

Hi everyone As you are all so expert in this games I have a new question that keeps bugging me: I play Avernum 3 on 'torment' in a Single Priestess kind of scenario (HOW did I get talked into THIS?! ) after playing the game twice in a normal four member team version. I'm quite advanced, having done the slimes, the roches, the troglos, the giants and now tackling the golems. Now my question: I often run into caches I can't open (you know, the ones outdoors that usually have herbs and coins in them). I tried to find out which skill I have to boost in order to open more of them. Nature Lore? Intelligence? Rune Reading? Does anyone know? Regards, Patrizia

Hi everyone! I'm completely new here, so I hope you are all patient with me. As I saw that some of you are real experts I hope you can help me with a problem I encountered. I enjoy Avernum 3 right now, doing it it at 'torment' in a Single Woman on a Mission version for a change (did it before twice with a 'traditional' four character team). It's fun! (But I get slaughtered A LOT ). Now I've got a problem: I finished the Troglo Mission, slaughtering the high priest and leaving Castle Troglo through the secret passage as planned. I have done many other things now and wanted to return to finish off King Vothkaro (I wasn't strong enough after finishing off the high priest). No I find I can't enter Castle Troglo anymore! There are runes at the main entrance I can't cross and I couldn't find any other entrance. Is there any way I can enter Castle Troglo again? I'm really confused because I can't remember not being able to enter Castle Troglo after leaving through the secret exit the other times I played the game. Can anyone help? Regards, Patrizia
