does crystal souls follow the exact plot of avernum 2 the original? I know they share an overall layout, but are the individual side quests the same? or just the overarching plot? I'm a big fan of avernum but if I've already enjoyed the original trilogy, maybe I should pickup avadon 3 instead of avernum2:crystal souls as my next steam purchase?

hmm are you saying avernum games tended to be twice as long as avadon? I hadn't realized avadon was short! it took me a long time to play it.

avernum escape from the pit is the latest game? is it a prequel to the avernum series? is it a full length avernum game? or is it shorter? how does it compare in terms of awesomeness to avadon? which I liked?

if I have two different player characters in my party with lockpicks skill will the skills combine at all? or is it just highest gets used, rest get ignored?

oh i see so... you get a 65% experience penalty but you also get a fairly big experience BONUS for killing things at a lower level than you would've otherwise? wow intersting

what's so great about divinely touched? sure it has some nice bonuses but... if you had an EW DT slith wouldn't that be 65% experience penalty? or does the way the EXP chart works just mean that even only getting 35% of normal exp is still enough to level up? or should slith avoid DT?
