I run an ATI Radeon, can't remember the series off the top of my head and for some reason my dxdiag isn't showing anything under the display tab at the moment. I'm not sure why that is, since it's always given me info on my card in the past.

Hey, does anyone have any advice on how to optimize this game a bit? It is SO laggy it runs almost in screenshot mode. I have a fairly high end machine, running Windows 7, so I wouldn't expect to have so much trouble with what seems to be a relatively simple game (graphics-wise). Is this a known issue and if so how do I fix it?

Wait, there's no level 3 Spray Acid in 4? That's interesting, I wonder why not. Also, why do you say they aren't important? Aren't the higher level spells more powerful?

Ah, my apologies, I left out the most important part of the post, namely which game I was referring to. I am actually talking about Avernum 4.

Where do I get this? I can't seem to find it in any guides I've read.

I've just started playing this and I have some questions. First off, does this game have secret passages like in the first three Avernum games where you basically have to press against every wall in dungeons in order to try to find everything? Also, which stat regulates Bow damage, Str or Dex? If not Dex, then is Dex strictly for to hit and dodge bonuses? Thanks in advance for the help.
